With powerhouse performances in over 100 movies, Kane has killed more people on screen with his hands than anyone in history. He further solidified his iconic killer status by becoming Victor Crowley in the cult-classic Hatchet trilogy. What is To Hell and Back: The Kane Hodder Story? Re: To Hell and Back: The Kane Hodder Story
Could be an interesting watch. I've always liked his Jason and he's always seemed like a cool guy.
|
Re: To Hell and Back: The Kane Hodder Story
I'd be interested in this.
I've commented about this before, but I've always felt like Hodder really enjoyed the opportunity to kill people. If any of his acquaintances showed up dead, I'd immediately consider him a suspect. |
Re: To Hell and Back: The Kane Hodder Story
Definitely interested in this.

Re: To Hell and Back: The Kane Hodder Story
I liked how he also played a security guard in Jason Goes to Hell, and Jason kills him.
|
Re: To Hell and Back: The Kane Hodder Story
I'm not sure a documentary needs to be made out of EVERYTHING horror but if I flip by this on cable or Netflix I'd stop to watch it.
Also, the Hatchet Trilogy is a whole hell of a lot of fun! |
Re: To Hell and Back: The Kane Hodder Story
I met him at a horror convention a few years ago. He was one of the nicest people I've met at one of those things. I got a pic with him where he's mock strangling me... his suggestion. It turned out great. :)

Re: To Hell and Back: The Kane Hodder Story
Whenever I read about interactions with Kane, he is always described as friendly and engaging. He seems really cool.
|
Re: To Hell and Back: The Kane Hodder Story
One of the nicest guys you would ever meet. Of all the times I've seen him I've never once seen him frustrated with fans or having to be in a chair for hours on end signing things for them.
I read his book couple years ago and it's pretty good. Sad at times. Funny at times. And sometimes just down right angry at what he went through in some situations. While this documentary might be most of what the book consists of, it's nice to be able to see him personally talking about it on film and also seeing all the respect he gets from his co-stars and other icons of the genre. |
Re: To Hell and Back: The Kane Hodder Story
Curious what more he'll say about not being in Freddy Vs. Jason. That had to have been disappointing to have not been asked to be in it when it was something that the fans wanted for so long and given that he basically is Jason to many.
|
Re: To Hell and Back: The Kane Hodder Story
Nothing against Ken, but his Jason in that movie was just really lame. I know for a fact, Kane and Robert would have made that movie so much better. I'd almost be in favor of a remake but I think Robert is done putting on the makeup.

Re: To Hell and Back: The Kane Hodder Story
Wait, so this guy played Jason in Friday the 13th 7 through 10? And that makes him some cult figure? Maybe if he'd been in 1-10, but I don't get it. Those are terrible movies. Well 7 is okay, but the rest are shit.
|
Re: To Hell and Back: The Kane Hodder Story
Your post seems like questioning so how can you say such when you have no idea what the guy has done to become the cult figure he is. Perhaps you should research a little before making your opinion.

Re: To Hell and Back: The Kane Hodder Story
Yeah the films starring Hodder aren't the greatest I agree (although I like VII and to a lesser extent VIII and X) but he was awesome as Jason.
|
Re: To Hell and Back: The Kane Hodder Story
I'll need to see them. I get the love and he does seem like an awesome guy from that long as fuck Jason documentary but I really liked that new guy too.
|
Re: To Hell and Back: The Kane Hodder Story
He was my favorite Jason.

Re: To Hell and Back: The Kane Hodder Story
He was an awesome Jason, he just wasn't in the best movies. It's not that hard to separate the two.

Re: To Hell and Back: The Kane Hodder Story
Just got back from a screening and I have to say,... this is worth a watch. I enjoyed the hell out of it.
This isn't just a docu about a guy who played Jason or a couple other characters. This is a real story that most fans probably have no idea about. From early on in his career to the hardships the guy went through. There's some rough shit in this story and goes deep into his life that's never been told before. It ran just over one hour and 48 minutes but the BD will have an additional 90 minutes.

I really recommend seeing this. |
Re: To Hell and Back: The Kane Hodder Story
Is there a release date for the Blu-ray? I looked on the website for the film but didn’t seem to see anything.

Re: To Hell and Back: The Kane Hodder Story
Looking forward to this. I saw a few clips on YT.
On the subject, what's up the the F13th (re?) reboot/remake? After that flopper from a few years ago, the fans are ENTITLED to a palate cleanser, dammit! |
