Unofficial Disney Movies

I have two specific movies in mind, The African Queen and Calamity Jane.

Neither film was made by Disney, but both found their way into the Disneyland park, and I suspect that Walt Disney probably wishes he'd made them. The African Queen obviously inspired the Jungle Cruise. Calamity Jane (the 1953 Doris Day musical) inspired The Golden Horseshoe theater in Frontierland which was a nearly exact replica of the saloon in the movie.

The connection these films and attractions share is that both films were designed by Harper Goff who also worked on many Disney films and was a key designer of Disneyland. Nevertheless it feels like Disney really liked the pictures and wanted elements of them in his fantasy theme park.

Are there any other films like this? Films that aren't Disney, but have been heavily appropriated in the theme parks or other Disney endeavors.

I supposed Star Wars and Indiana Jones are also examples.

Harper Goff was a strange-looking (and sounding) cat who also acted in a few films and TV shows. He's in a couple of "Dragnet" TV episodes (1950s) and the 1954 DRAGNET movie.

Not a movie, but Twilight Zone's Tower of Terror.

I'd say the robots in The Black Hole were inspired by the ones in Star Wars.

I almost mentioned "Escape from Tomorrow" but it really didn't fit in with the OP.
