The Movie Awards at one time in the 90s and early aughts were literally the best awards show since it was just a really fun parody of Award Shows and usually the winners weren't so damn serious since they knew it was just a fun joke award.

Yeah, for a number of years after the MTV Music Awards turned into crap, the MTV Movie Awards stayed good. But then around 2004 or so, they also turned into crap too.

I still like a lot of the spoofs during its mid-'90s to mid-'00s heyday, like this one for Scream from 1997:



And this one for Spider-Man in 2002:



And even this one for Panic Room from either 2002 or 2003 is pretty good (aside from its overlong intro taking up the 1st minute of it):
