I get your point and I’m not a big fan of the franchise myself but there’s NO WAY on God’s green Earth that MIB III is worse than MIB II!! MIB III was fun and redeemed the franchise (as much as this franchise can be redeemed). Although it was super forgettable. Hell, even though I remember liking it, I still forget they even made a part 3 half the time.

MIB II, on the other hand is one of the worst movies I’ve ever seen in my life. As far as big budget blockbuster type movies, it’s GOT to be near the top of the list as worst blockbuster movies of all time. It’s pure garbage!

Yeah MIB II was just thoroughly awful, III wasn't great but was a decent recovery.

I saw MiB II in a very small theater. In fact, the people who ran it were actually living in the theater. Anyhow, I don't remember much about the movie other than that and they played The Two Towers trailer twice, which was nice.

I absolutely loved her in Ragnarok. She was sexy as hell... that walk!

She has been good in everything that I have seen that she is in. Not super star material but good enough to keep me watching.

Re: Men in Black: International (2019, D: Gray) S: Hemsworth, Thompson, Neeson

I enjoyed the first movie and hated the sequels. This trailer is seriously shit. It reeks of the same Ghostbusters vibe. It seriously looks like it is bringing nothing new to the table at all. And as for Tessa Thompson, the woman cannot act and has zero personality and on screen charisma. I hated her character in Thor and she was annoying as hell in Westworld. I couldn't give a damn about her sexuality or personal life, but she has no right to be onscreen with her lack of acting abilities. As someone said, its clear she had a friend somewhere high up that's trying to make her the next big thing.

I feel like this could be fun. The franchise concept lends itself very easily to the idea of worldwide chapters so it's a little puzzling it took so long to get to this.

No one cares about celebrities' personal lives? Have you ever watched Entertainment Tonight, Access (Hollywood), or E! News? That's probably the main thing those shows report on. So I'm guessing people do care about that.

Whenever I hear discussion of her or her girlfriend (usually on EW Radio), they talk about how much they love them as a couple and act like its the greatest thing ever.

While most of the folks on here are big movie buffs, I don't think a ton of us watch a lot gossip/E! television.

Now we know who actually cares about that stuff.

Personally, I’ve enjoyed her performances in Thor: Ragnarok and Sorry to Bother You. Annihilation was a bit muted and a smaller role, but she was fine in it. I haven’t seen her in anything else. I think she is very attractive and I don’t care (or even know) who she is dating.

Sorry, I have better things to do with my life than watch TV gossip rags.

Do I have high hopes for Men In Black: International (STILL a lame title)? Not really. Do I hope to be entertained with TT and Hemsworth’s chemistry? Yeah, based on Thor, I do.

TMZ's continued existence shows that there's obviously a big interest in celebrity personal lives. Not sure why anyone would cite celebrity gossip as some sort of thing of the past.

Anyway, I recall james2025a ranting about her before in another movie thread and never quite understood the hate. She's appearing in some higher profile movies, and while I can understand concerns anytime there's a new "it" person, but I don't see how she's anywhere near terrible as an actress.

I'll watch this when it's available through streaming/home video, unless my wife drags me out to see it.

She's a big fan of the originals, mainly I and III. Personally, I enjoyed III. Brolin was really good, as was Jemaine Clement, as Boris The Animal.

I didn't start noticing her until Dear White People, but yeah agreed. Her and Kiersey Clemons should do a movie together

Been a fan of hers since Veronica Mars. But yea, her career didn't start to pop until DWP.
Technically...Tessa and Kiersey have... but not in the way you're hoping: https://www.imdb.com/title/tt8096832...=nm_flmg_act_6

New trailer has a fun vibe, but damn do I miss the days of practical special effects (or at least a blend).

Wrong film but I just saw the preview of Gemini Man where they have a CGI motorcycle crash into a wall (without anyone on it!) and I had the exact same thought.

Hemsworth really slimmed down for this one.

Looks like fun but not in theaters.

And explode. Because we all know that's what motorcycles do...

Just found out this is starting at 4 PM on Thursday, so wife and I are seeing it at an AMC Dolby Cinema. Review on Friday.

I really didn’t like any of the previous Men in Black movies, but the addition of The Great Gazoo makes this a must watch for me.
