With Six You Get Eggroll

It's a good movie starring Doris Day And Brian Keith. It had many guest stars. Including, Jamie Farr, Patt Boone, George Carlin, William Christopher, And Allan Melvin.

That's an odd title. Anyone know what it's supposed to mean?

It's something stereotypically racist that a waiter in a Chinese Restaurant might say. With the purchase of 6 entrees, you get free eggrolls.

Re: With Six You Get Eggroll

This used to be on local TV a lot when I was growing up, along with "Yours, Mine and Ours".

OP did not mention Barbra Hershey played Brian Keith's daughter

Late-60s, hippie Hershey is incredibly sexy

Re: With Six You Get Eggroll

Well it's a movie like, "Yours, Mine, And Ours. The plot was about a single lady,"Doris Day" going about her normal life, until she met a man named Josh(Brian Keith) . Then as the plot goes on, they eventually move in together. But, there's a problem. Their kids don't get a long. The parents don't seem to notice it, and let them be. Then they announce, they're getting married! Then later in the story, they end up getting a divorce.

You can find out the rest.

Last movie I ever thought would get it's own thread...and I own the film!

It's nostalgic for me as I saw it as a kid. And I agree, Barbara Hershey was incredibly sexy when she was young. Too bad she started with the plastic surgery over 25 years ago....I remember how upset I was seeing her all of a sudden with oversized lips.

IMDB doesn't list Pat Boone (or "Patt" Boone, for that matter) as being in WITH SIX YOU GET EGGROLL.

My parents saw this when I was a kid and said they liked it. I think that's why I never watched it. I also thought the title sounded dumb.

I can remember when I was young, and Ebert reviewed this for At the Movies. He began with, "Opening this weekend is a new film, 'With Six You Get Eggroll.' Gene, it's a movie, like 'Yours, Mine, and Ours'." Then he and Siskel just stared at the camera, not speaking, for the next seven minutes.

Miss those guys.

Siskel and Ebert at the Movies premiered in 1986, 17 years after WITH SIX YOU GET EGGROLL came out. It's unlikely they ever reviewed it.

It's also unlikely that any TV producer or director (or sponsor, for that matter) would allow seven minutes of dead air time.

Even if you go with the fact Sneak Previews started in '75 it still doesn't line up.

I sure didn't hear it. Whatever that reference is, it must be a good one. Can someone enlighten me?

Thanks.

I have the DVD too. I love Alice Ghostley and Pat Carroll plus the oldest son is hot!
