I figured this was the real reason.

Well crap :( I had the opposite reaction ... since the previous question asked "country", my mind was still in country-mode.

Hopefully scoring will be consistent (if you're going to match clear general with more specific answers). If not, can I change my answer? Because I had a specific place in mind, but I thought the question was asking for a country.

Fat kid at summer camp answers submitted!

Thank you Crocker Jarmin ... I was jonesing for some sheep! How difficult are these to run? I know I asked about an Archer game before, but I've been thinking a James Bond game could be good.

If someone resubmits their answers because they realized they made a mistake (by the way, some of you need to check your {sd}) I don't bother adding a penalty. If someone resubmits because they've decided they've come up with better answers I feel like there needs to be a penalty for that to discourage multiple re-enteries.

I haven't looked at the answers yet so I don't know for sure how they'll be grouped but I'm sure it will be reasonable.

They're more time consuming than difficult. You just need to be in a position where you're at the computer all day. I usually source all the pictures and write the posts up over the weekend, then cut and paste them on Game Day.

The hardest part is tabulating the score. I have a history of fucking that up, and usually need to be corrected a few times during play (which is always embarrassing).

I'm planning to start doing the answers on Monday, so anyone else who wishes to play still has a few days to submit answers.

The funny thing about this is that I just mentioned on Tuesday that I missed sheep games.

Very nice! If no one responded to this I was going to pretty much write off putting together another one myself. At least 20 is a good number.

I think there's some pretty big variation in how Sheepmasters do things. Some like to bang it out quickly ... other spread it out over several days. You can go all-out with putting together the results presentation. Or you can just go: question, answers, current standings, next question (and so on).

Crocker, I don't know if you ever saw the spreadsheet I put together for scoring these. I'm pretty sure it's still up at Google docs. I made it so that for each question you enter in each player's score, push a button, and have the current standings spit out in a little table.

That would be handy. Where can I find it?

It's on Google docs: right here.

It was made in Excel 2007 and you need to enable macros for it to work.

20+ is an excellent number these days. My specialty games usually peak around a dozen.

This is true, though there are so few games these days you really can do whatever you want. I usually plan on three days for a 20-question game. If I run a game again, it'll probably be more in the 10- to 12-question range to make it more manageable.

I highly recommend the macro-enabled spreadsheet.
