I'm guessing Goldblum's role will be little more than a cameo. I'm sure he won't be running and fighting dinos. It'll probably just be some boardroom/laboratory scene where he spouts off about the dangers of genetically modifying dinosaurs, blah, blah, blah.
Didn't Laura Dern say she was interested in being in the next JW movie too? It would be cool but I assume the filmmakers don't want to make the same mistakes JP III made.

Between the Independence Day sequel, the Thor sequel, the Jurassic World sequel and being the Apartment.com spokesman, I bet Jeff Goldblum has a really expensive house and a couple of kids in college.
Somewhere I imagine JoBeth Williams, Meg Tilly and Tom Beringer are sharing a cheap bottle of wine, shaking their heads and wondering where it all went wrong.

The only real blunders JP3 made were starting filming before a script was done and blowing their wad early with the Rex & Spino fight. Everything else that plagues the film kinda stems from these two issues.

Director J.A. Bayona has previously acknowledged that his Jurassic World sequel will have some political elements, dealing with the abuse, medical experimentation, pets, having wild animals in zoos like prisons, military use, and animals as weapons. And yes, it’ll also pave the way for a third film. It is, of course, described as the Empire Strikes Back of the new Jurassic trilogy.
I feel like that statement is made about every sequel these days. No drop it, nothing will ever be as good as Empire Strikes Back
