Most difficult actors to work with?

I've read that story before. He may have been an ass, but it didn't appear to affect his work. The Royal Tenenbaums remains one of my very favorite Gene Hackman performances. I wonder what he thinks of it now.

I seem to recall reading that Bruce Willis was frustrated with Kevin Smith because Smith was directing a mainstream Hollywood action picture and didn't really know what he was doing.

It's a big reason why I dislike Kevin Smith so much*. He was in way over his head as a director on that film and, from other accounts, even he knew it. But he blames the failure of the film on Willis' attitude and rails against the guy at every opportunity.
I'm sure Willis is a jerk. But at least he doesn't make his living by bad-mouthing Smith.
*Also, he makes shitty films.

On the Reservoir Dogs Blu Ray are very cool stories from the actors about both Tierney and Eddie Bunker. The story from the cast about Tierney really makes me laugh out loud. Both Madsen talking about him crashing through someone's wall like The Thing from the Fantastic Four and Chris Penn talking about hanging out with Tierney for a day and dealing with his lawn furniture are friggin hilarious. Tarantino also talks about them both almost coming to blows. All in all great extras that you rarely find with movies.
Heard a lot about the people already mentioned. I heard Hackman was quite a dick on the set of The Quick and the Dead as well. Also some great stories about the mess that was Hudson Hawk in the book Withnails by Richard E. Grant. Also sounded like Gary Oldman didn't exactly get along with Copolla on Dracula.

Leo in his 20s was by all accounts just a douche. Loved to party all night, show up late to work, (or just not show up at all) and tended to be immature when on set. Claire Danes and John Leguizamo really resented his behaviour on Romeo + Juliet. Titanic was an infamous nightmare of a shoot for everyone involved. Leo continued this behaviour on the shoot for Gangs of New York while in Rome. Scorscese finally got fed up and just let him have it. I guess it worked as he and Leo have worked together multiple times since.

It would be awesome to see Scorsese rip him to shreds.

Is there any other actor who isn't afraid of telling it like it is the way John Leguizamo does? We've heard him dish out on:
Steven Seagal
Patrick Swayze
The Super Mario Bros directors
Leo
Wonder if he has something to say about Pacino.

His story about Seagal was funny
Only girly men can't handle Pittsburgh
. I have never visited Pittsburgh but it looks like a cool and interesting city to me.
I remember Sean Connery was difficult during "A League of Extraordinary Gentleman" or maybe it was just a one time occurrence.
I don't think he has done a movie since.

If Pittsburgh was so bad, why do directors keep filming there? I seem to remember one of the Nolan Batman movies being filmed, at least partially, in Pittsburgh.

Who doesn't want to punch John Leguizamo? Likes some of his roles, but can't stand him doing talk shows or his comedy routines.

He's saying that the scene involved Bruce Willis and the other actor talking to each other. In the shots of just the other actor (Bruce off screen), Bruce Willis didn't read his lines to the other actor for him to react to.
Apparently this is from Bruce Campbell's book.

Never even heard of this. I think I'd be terrified if I saw that nice Marty go angry. Jeez. I can't even imagine it. Maybe bearded Marty from back in the day but not Old Man Marty. He seems like such a lovable nice geeky guy that I almost feel bad for him to get angry. Wasn't GoNY kind of a bitch to make for him to make w/ the Weinsteins getting on his ass too?

Best way to reconnect with your kids, get shot in the head then you'll become an adult child as you recover.

Re: Most difficult actors to work with?
BTW, the Bill Murray calling Gene Hackman a cocksucker story is untrue. Cracked did an article last year about the Tenenbaums shoot and proceeded to take what Murray said about him out of context:

"I'll stick up for Gene too," Murray said, "You know, the word 'cocksucker' does get thrown around a lot. But I'll just take that word and throw it out of this room; it doesn't belong here.
