The diagnostic test is a sleep study. If he's unwilling to go for one, buy a Fitbit and at least monitor his heart rate during sleep at night. Not a definitive diagnosis, but cheap and it at might be enough to convince him. Pulse ox monitors which were thousands when I was a resident in the Nineties are now dirt cheap and can be used with a smart phone as well.

The first one was about seven years ago where I had to sleep in a clinic with a bunch of crap similar to this :
The most recent one I had at home with this device :
After the first sleep study I was prescribed a c-pap machine for about a year and then stopped because I kept removing it in the middle of the night.
Recently I saw an ENT doctor and had another sleep study. His solution was surgery in which he removed my tonsils and some tissue from the back of my mouth.
The surgery is same day but it takes 2-3 weeks to recover with heavy dosages of anti-biotics and narcotics plus no solid food. I had to go on temporary disability.
The recovery was hell but I no longer snore even one peep (it was so loud it used to keep my wife up) or feel tired during the day from lack of sleep.

When I was overweight I developed sleep apnea. I did the sleep study. NIGHTMARE. Ambien up before you go, if you go.
Since I dropped the weight, apnea gone. Thank Christ. My wife was not so lucky

My brother puts this movie on last Friday night, naturally I rolled my eyes. But of course, we made it to the end like many times before. Pretty titties and African Anteater Rituals. 80's nostalgia fer sher. So was very saddening to hear the news, and so soon after the revisit. My brother holds the film in delusionally high esteem, so you can imagine how he feels.
Were there any movies besides CBML and The Wraith that featured that Tucson plane graveyard so prominently?

“Can’t Buy Me Love” star Amanda Peterson died from an accidental overdose of a deadly combination of multiple drugs, including morphine, according to a coroner’s report obtained by TMZ.
The “morphine effect” caused respiratory failure, leading to her death, according to the report.
The former actress’ body was discovered in her Colorado apartment on July 5, two days after her death. She was 43.
According to the Weld County Coroner in Colorado, Peterson had a variety of prescription drugs in her system, including anti-anxiety medication, anti-psychotic medication, opiates and marijuana. One of the pain medications in her system was at six times the normal level.

You're thinking of narcolepsy. Sleep apnea is stopping breathing usually due to heavy snoring through large tonsils (obstructive sleep apnea). Usually you do wake up when you can't get a breath and panic, but over time you can develop an enlarged right side of your heart (Cor Pulmonale) and elevated blood pressure in your lungs (pulmonary hypertension) from sleep apnea. It can be a life threatening illness. Some people have to sleep with a sleep mask on their nose to keep from having trouble at night.
