'Song of the Sea' [Dir. Tomm Moore / Brendan Gleeson - 2014]

"The story, based on the ancient Celtic myth of the selkie, concerns two children, Ben and Saoirse, who live in a lighthouse by the sea with their father..."

to say any more would be saying too much.

From the director of 2009's 'The Secret of Kells' - Tomm Moore continues what made that movie great, simplistic stylized animation, a captivating emotional story, memorable characters and exquisite music.

by far my favorite Oscar animated film of 2014 - by the ending which I won't ruin, left me emotional drained (in a good way) elated and and utterly floored.

Highly highly recommended!!
