This came out before Funny Games and probably influenced it. And reading that article is sounds like a direct remake/ripoff of this one.

Colleen Camp who plays one of the crazy chicks in Death Game is the producer of Knock Knock.

If Roth can capture half of the intense insanity of Death Game then Knock Knock should be a blast.

Yea Death Game was intense. I liked it quite a bit when I was younger for obvious reasons...I have not seen it in many years however.

I think it still holds up well but then again, it has been a favorite of mine since VHS days.
Death Game is such a product of its time, even though it was most likely only jumping the home invasion / Last House on the Left bandwagon.
What I like about the movie is the plot because its like an urban legend story. So simple yet very effective. We shall see how this translates in Roth's update.

Wow, surprised this went to on demand as well. I got invited to an early screening for this earlier this summer, but couldn't go. Thought this would get a full fledged theatrical release.

Anyways, Roth's movies are a guilty pleasure. Hell, I just saw Green Inferno a few weeks ago. I'll probably rent this on demand.

Watched this on Friday night. It was alright, entertaining enough I suppose. The girls were very easy on the eyes. It was a prime example of terrible Keanu Reeves though. He was almost ridiculously over the top with his performance IMO.

I just finished watching this and I really enjoyed the first part of the film but once A lot of good that did him. :sarcasm:

I find the actress that played Keanu's wife very attractive. She's Chilean but looks Swedish. Hell, they filmed it in Chile and the brunette is Eli Roth's wife. I'm gonna go on the assumption that Roth has a South American multi-picture deal with companies down there to make movies. The Green Inferno, Knock Knock, and what else?

Now I'm curious to see the original Knock Knock. It really can't get much worse.

I can see why this was given the VOD late in the game.
