Staying strong at 70%. Not bad. Not sure the reviews are enough to get me to go anyway, would rather wait for the rental.

I went and saw this with my teenage son last night. I was ready to walk out after 10 minutes. And the audience full of noisy teenagers made it even worse.
Skip it.

I saw it today. I hadn't been to a theater in months and was bored enough to check this out. It's not the worst scary movie I've seen, but like most nowadays, it's very forgettable. All of the characters are 100% cliches, but there are a couple of decent spooky parts.
My theater only showed trailers for upcoming scary movies and every damn one of them, except for The Gallows, looked identical. A kid looks under the bed, dark hands reach and pulls the person back, a dark figure appears and then disappears. Same old shit over and over.

I just got back from seeing a $6 matinee
It's entertaining and has some good scares, but I can't honestly say that it was a good movie overall. It is violent with lots of F bombs dropped, so it does deserve the R rating.
Example of some of the violence:
It's shot in the same style as the Modern Family episode from a few months ago. It's all entirely from the perspective of the lead girl Blaire's (Shelley Hennig) Mac computer with the other characters synced in via Skype. They use Facebook, Google, Youtube, Itunes a lot. All of those along with Apple got lots of love here.
If you're an older viewer who isn't really into social media like Facebook, Youtube, Skype and all the lingo, you're probably going to find these people and social media talk pretty annoying. You will probably find them vile when you learn what transpired with the person who killed herself and how they were involved. Overall, it's a pretty mean spirited movie when you learn the big reveal.

I thought the concept was really cool and interesting, The execution was so-so and the movie itself was only ok.

I enjoyed this a lot more than the cinematic circle jerk-masturbatory fest known as It Follows.
It's not a good horror films by any means, but it's entertaining despite its weak attempt at social commentary.

My son mentioned that he wanted to see this one the other day. On a whim, we ended up seeing it tonight. It wasn't as bad as I was kind of expecting it to be. It was an interesting approach having everything seen through Facebook pages, Skype and Spotify. The overall quietness of the movie would have driven me nuts if we'd seen it with a larger crowd. Crowd noise could probably drown out a lot of the dialogue. Thankfully, there were only 4 others in the theater with us.
My biggest complaint with the movie was that there wasn't a single likeable character. Even before the reveal, there wasn't a single redeeming quality amongst the friends.

So this is on HBO now. The plot itself was nothing special, but the way it was all done via computer screen was actually cool. Definitely an instance of the concept being better than the finished product. I can see how one would dismiss it as found footage, but it's really a different concept. Also, I watched this on an iPad app, which I think improved the experience compared to watching on tv. This is surely the first time I've ever been able to say that!

I tried watching this POS but had to turn it off after 5 grating minutes. I just don't give a fuck. It turned a profit, too.
