Not seen Guardians yet but I'm planning to real soon. Just wondering how it compares against Watchmen. Seen both? Cast your vote.

weird comparison, IMO.

Guardians of the Galaxy was the more entertaining movie overall, but not the best Marvel movie by a long shot. However, there are no scenes in GotG that could compare to the scenes with the Comedian in Watchmen.

The comparison isn't really making sense to me.

Filmed by white directors on a Hollywood budget about a team of comic characters trying to do something w/ special effects, makeup, and CGI to make it a reality for film. I guess I can see it now.

I enjoyed Guardians more, but this is like comparing night and day. One is a fun super hero movie and the other is a dark look at heroes after their glory days. Watchmen requires a totally different state of mind to enjoy than Guardians.

I liked both. I would say I liked Guardians better, but yeah, I'm not sure why you picked this as your comparison. Other than being based on comics, they really don't have anything in common.

Why would you compare a movie you haven't seen?

The Adventures of Buckaroo Banzai Across the 8th Dimension is the best by a landslide.

At first it seemed odd, but there are some connections:

Both feature teams of relatively unknown (to the general public) superheroes that tested the strength of existing franchises (kind of). In the case of Guardians, it was the Marvel brand, for Watchmen it was testing the strength of Snyder coming off the massive 300, which owed a debt to Sin City.

Both have interplanetary travel (reaching).

I actually did not like GotG, but I did like a few songs from the soundtrack.

Watchmen is a bit too violent for me, despite that, I think it's the better movie. All the Watchmen characters are badass.

I can see the comparison. They're both "outsider" comic book movies. Both are relatively unconventional, free-thinking and fearless (as much as you can when spending $200M).

Both good movies. I don't care to rate them.

Completely different movies, enjoyed Guardians Much more.

Think both are great movies in their own right... I voted for Guardians since it is clearly a more fun movie to watch. But Watchmen was also enjoyable because I thought it was very well made, and stands out from other comic movies because of it's serious/mature content.

I enjoy both but more importantly they are both better films than any of the three in the Dark Knight trilogy.

Guardians of the Galaxy has a talking raccoon and Watchmen has a large, blue dangling penis.

I've always assumed Nolan kicked his puppy or something .

Both were good in very different ways but I ENJOYED GOTG way more and it isn't even close...and I really liked Watchmen.

I don't know, Batman Begins was worlds better than Watchmen, but that's just my humble opinion.

Guardians was fantastic.
