Saving Christmas (2014) S: Kirk Cameron

"Kirk is enjoying the annual Christmas party extravaganza thrown by his sister until he realizes he needs to help out Christian, his brother-in-law who has a bad case of the bah-humbugs. Kirk's fresh look at Christmas provides Christian the chance to see Christ is where He has always been: at the center of our Christmas celebrations and traditions."

Anybody going to see this?

IMDB seems to suggest that it's the worst movie of all time.

Is it acceptable to laugh at this, or would that be more evidence that this forum has turned mean

I doubt it is the worst movie of all time.

But I already heard about the millennial-atheist internet hate going around.

Re: Saving Christmas (2014) S: Kirk Cameron

They have a stand for the film at my theater. I don't care to watch it cuz I'm sure it'll be bad but that stand has Cameron w/ a weirdass smile. Turns out by that screen cap for the trailer there... he does have a weird smile.

Not sure how comfortable I am w/ Cameron putting in stereotypical black guy. Guess that's a christian movie thing. Actually... I've seen that a lot. A lot of minority stereotypes. I went out w/ some Christian gal years back, sweet gal who was socially isolated cuz of her religion/famly unfortunately, and this christian cop movie had this wildly stereotypical hispanic guy used for comedy mostly. Courageous was the title.... I think.

I would rather pack my rectum full of M80's and squat over a flaming hibachi than see this film.

That sums up the "worst movie evar" attitude I was talking about.

Ben Affleck was able to laugh off Gigli. I don't think Kirk Cameron is in the position to do that.

Yeah, typical internet hyperbole stuff.

As for this movie? I'd rather be raped by the devil than sit through it.

On the IMDB page for this film:

Trivia:

After getting dismal reviews from critics and audiences alike, Kirk Cameron posted on his Facebook page asking "loyal fans" to go online and bump up the user rating; resulting in the film being voted down to IMDb's #1 bottom movie of all time.

Kirk Cameron's sister ... Bridgette.

He couldn't even get his sister who's an actress to be in the movie.

You know it's bad when you have to narrate your own trailer.

I am waiting for a film about putting Paganism back into Christmas.

Also, it would have to be "Christopher Nolan's Saving Christmas" for it to be the worst movie ever.

This reminds me that, during this Halloween, Cameron had gone on a rant about how Pagans stole Halloween from the Christians.

When you got dumped by Nolan, you really took it hard. Time to move on. There are other men in the world. Have you tried your local bathhouse?

Very subtle, naming the character "Christian."
