Nicholas Meyer wanted to use Holst's The Planets as the score for Star Trek VI originally, from what I understand.

That's not exactly true...but he did want a score similar to Holst's The Planets.

Made w/o the permission of RKO.

Damn. never heard of this thing. Fascinating.
I used to be pretty heavy into the Godzilla stuff, and I never heard of this either.

Found this very brief clip on Youtube, but further searching debunked it pretty easily as footage from "Yeti: Giant of the 20th Century".

Edit: The entire film may be a hoax.

Weeks before the release of the film "The Land Before Time" Judith Barsi, the 10 year old girl who voiced Ducky was murdered along with her mother by their Dad/Husband, who eventually turned the gun on himself.

At 10 years old she had over 25 film and television credits to her name including Cheers, Growing Pains, Punky Brewster, Cagney & Lacey, All Dog's Go To Heaven and Jaws: The Revenge.

Super Dave Osbourne and Albert Brooks are brothers.

Super Dave Osbourne's real name is Bob Einstein, making Albert's real name (and stop me if you see where this is going) Albert Einstein.

For a period of time, before any of them were remotely famous, Robert Duvall, Dustin Hoffman and Gene Hackman shared an apartment.

Halle Berry once stormed off the set of X2 and threatened to quit when Bryan Singer was openly fingering a go go boys ass in his Directors chair between shots.

Liz Sheridan was once the girlfriend of James Dean and the two were even briefly engaged. Liz Sheridan played Jerry Seinfelds mother on Seinfeld.

Re: Little known but very interesting movie facts.

When Dillinger was gunned down outside the Biograph, inside his pocket was a personal check from Chico Marx for a gambling debt.

Errol Flynn discovered Acapulco. He was floating on his yacht off the coast of Mexico, saw this really cool deserted beach and thought, "That'd be a good place to build a hotel".

Humphrey Bogart never received a Christmas present his entire life.

The James Bond book, For Your Eyes Only, which was five short stories, including From A View To A Kill and Quantum of Solace, were originally five episodes for a James Bond tv series that fell through.

Re: Little known but very interesting movie facts.

I recently learned a few things about Dirty Rotten Scoundrels, which may be my favorite comedy from the eighties:

1. It's a direct remake of "Bedtime Story" starring Marlon Brando and David Niven. Many of the gags are direct lifts from the older version. They changed the ending, that's all. Even the character names are the same.

2. It was originally written to star Mick Jagger and David Bowie.

3. It's the first time Frank Oz ever directed a live action movie. I'd say he did pretty well. Oz is like Zelig, he keeps popping up everywhere.

Mothafucka. All the fucks I had to give at that age were to video games, passing my classes, putting my dick in a girl, and movies.

Didn't Little Shop of Horrors come out in 1986?
