Orion Pictures has been resurrected.
Starting with the The Town That Dreaded Sundown (2014)
MGM has brought back the old name. It will be used as a specialty label.
I freaked out (not really) when I saw the familiar logo at beginning and did some research.

Orion… Orion… is bankrupt… now.
Great, one studio struggling to stay alive due to poor management issues is now managing another studio that failed due to poor management issues. This can only turn out well.

It will be no different than Warner Bros. and New Line. They own the name, but won't make the same type of films they were known for.
