simple as that...what drives you to watch them @ home, @ the theater, wherever...why do you like the movies?

for me:
it has always been that childhood and now adulthood escape to places and feelings that you can't always experience in everyday life. you get to feel, be characters you might never even associate yourself with ever. i relish in the sweet stories of love lost, the bombastic action of summer blockbusters, the small independents that become true gems after one sitting. just love the glitz, the pagentry, the intricacies of film making. just to get lost for a couple hours is such a pleasurable experience.

at it's simplest? Just another form of entertainment. That's it. Can do things other mediums can't at times. Etc etc.

This is like asking why you like sleeping or why you like eating. Some things you just like for no real reason.

Do not ask these types of questions on first dates.

Kind of a weird thing to ask. Various reasons I guess; they entertain me, an escape from reality, something to do, I enjoy storytelling of various types.

Why ask why?

Is there no end to your inane threads?

Because I get to eat popcorn.

They are more interesting than facebook.
