Takashi Miike adapts the ultraviolent Japanese comic book series Kamisama Iutoori (As the Gods Will).
I've read the comic. It's good and gory fun with some real black humor, but it just kinda ends with an abrupt cliffhanger. There's a sequel series, but it takes place in parallel to the original, with a different group of students going through the same thing, so who knows what Miike is going to do with this.

Takahata Shun's day at high school begins just as normal and boring as ever, but it doesn't end that way. After his teacher's head explodes, he and his classmates find themselves forced to play children's games, such as Daruma ga Koronda (a game like Red Light/Green Light), with deadly stakes. With no idea who is behind this mysterious deadly game session, and no way of knowing when it will finally end, the only thing Shun and other students can do is keep trying to win...

It comes out on Blu-ray (in Japan) on May 20th, I'm sure I'll check it out at some point, it's currently about $31 but doesn't appear to have English subtitles.

Why are Japanese manufacturers so averse to putting English subtitles on discs? I might actually be willing to pay the exorbitant prices and buy some if they did. It's WAY too much to hope that they'd ever put them on the special features, but at least on the movies/TV shows proper. Unfortunately, not knowing what anyone is saying is sort of detrimental to my enjoyment of the films.
Though I supposed it'd be funny if someone tried to hock a porn DVD with the the "this disc has no English subtitles" warning.

Cost money I suppose. The last two live-action Kenshin movies (2014's Kyoto Inferno and The Legend Ends) are movies that would have been popular as imports as well, but you have to order them from Hong Kong (non-bootleg) to get proper English subtitles (initially at least, I think they're both out in the UK now, in Steelbook).

Finally saw this, very odd but straight forward, I was entertained but it sort of just ends.
Here's a spoilerish trailer that sums is up better:
