I was just thinking of that... this movie is going to do some pretty good business I think. The kid will be older, but it'd be cool to see a sequel, with him and the girl he meets at the end. (I'm assuming that will happen in this one) Whether it's a few years later when they're teens, or 8+yrs later and they're married, etc. Seems like a great opportunity for sequels down the road.

This looks surprisingly decent to me. I've been kind of iffy on some of the live action Disney adaptations and always liked the animated version of The Jungle Book (although it wasn't my all time favorite). This seems like it could be good though going off the previews and I like the voice cast plus Favreau is a decent director.

I never cared for the The Jungle Book animated one. I've some interest in this cuz of Favreau. Beyond that... I just don't care for a live action adaptation of it.

I think it's gonna do Pirates of the Caribbean kinda money.
Will certainly do more than Tarzan coming out later in the summer.

I think it will be difficult because audiences don't flock to hear the voices of stars as much as they flock to see them. Still, it's a great cast, and a really fun film (and I say this with Jungle Book being one of my favorite Disney animated films).

I hope it does well, because it's the polar opposite of the atrocious Alice in Wonderland from a few years back.

I don't really care for the animated on either. The 1942 version is still a classic.

Kid Solid Snake was interested in more fascinating shit. Alice in Wonderland was where it was at for me for those older Disney flicks, the others might as well not have existed for Kid Solid Snake. Jungle Book has nothing on AiW, Hong Kong flicks, Mexploitation, 1980s action, some 1990s action, and Godzilla for Past Me.

To be honest, Disney was pretty low on the totem poll for me. Didn't care for Disney. I have always loved the old cartoon shorts though.

But for the Jungle Book? Meh. I couldn't tell you if it's any good or not. I just remember not liking it as a kid and don't care to watch it today. I'm sure I didn't miss anything amazing enough to knock down my other interests. Unless there's an anal scene. I'm always up for Anal.

I never really got in to the original Disney cartoon. The great early reviews have me a little more interested in this then I was before.

Yeah. I'll probably see this one. The clips released that I've seen get my interest.

Not to mention a cross-dressing Baloo.

This is what, the fourth live action Jungle Book since 1967? Glad they finally did it. Fifth time's the charm.

There was at least a straight to video one I remember, plus the movie one with Jason Scott Lee. Don't remember any others, though.

There's this one. My kids have been watching it on netflix. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_...wgli%27s_Story

Interestingly Brian Doyle Murray plays Baloo in that one.

And I'm pretty sure there's also a live action one called Jungle Book 2. Here it is http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0120087/referenceNot sure if it's disney.

Discussions are underway for a sequel, with Favreau and Marks (the screenwriter) included.
