Whoever wrote the first comment on that page wins the internet.

Yeah, no. It looks a bit more like Loki's unfortunate twin stole Superman's gear.

Who else laughed their ass off when Nicholas Cage squatted down with the suit like he's in Mr Olympia

I think they focused on the costume because a) it was the only way to get any Nicholas Cage in the movie and b) the stills from this are what people are most familiar with and it's what gives this project such a bad reputation. If the only released image was one of the skull ship model, people would whine about this more than the cancellation of Firefly.

I enjoyed the doc, but these people are deluded if they think this would have been anything other than a Batman and Robin sized turd.

So today I went to Wondercon in Anaheim, CA. This convention used to be in San Francisco. It's probably the 2nd biggest Con in California behind Comic Con.

Jon Schnepp (the writer and director of this movie) had a booth there and was selling his BD's. I picked it up for $20 no tax and he even autographed it. He also signed the movie poster for me for buying his BD. He was also selling a deluxe version with a DVD & more extras included for $30. I passed on that one. That's the one that he's selling on his website. So I saved $10 only getting the BD, which is fine by me.

Better than the $30+ tax + $10 shipping asking price when it originally came out 4 years ago.

Seems like a nice guy. He was talking to a few other patrons about some some geeky stuff including Marvel's upcoming movies.

I wanted to get a physical copy, but it was too expensive when it originally came out. Glad I managed to get one today.

Some really sad news. Jon Schnepp, who directed this movie, suffered a massive stroke recently and is on life support.

His fiancée posted this.

He’s usually at the various big cons around the country. I met Schnepp in March as I posted above and got a signed BD of this movie.

Doesn’t sound good about his condition.

That’s too bad. Not the biggest fan of this documentary, but I occasionally watch Collider videos on YouTube which he’s on quite often as well as I’ve seen him on Movie Fights on the Screen Junkies YouTube channel.

Damn, sad about Schnepp.

Although I'm not surprised. He suffered the stroke over a week ago and the last I checked he was still in a coma. Plus due to his age and physical condition, It was probably unlikely he would recover.

RIP

Sucks about Schnepp. He was one of the few tolerable people on Collider along with Ellis.

Didn't know this, but he was a background extra on Ferris Bueller's Day Off:

I like both the Schmoes (Harloff and Ellis). Damn sad about Schnepp. I can’t claim to be a huge fan but I liked him enough from seeing his personality on various YouTube channels. RIP.
