They make a point of specifically wanting a Superman with a mullet. Man, this would have been great.

Looks interesting. Surprised to see so many of the contributors being excited about it and talking about how great it would have been, when everything that's leaked over the years looked absolutely awful and Kevin Smith's story makes it out to be fucking awful.

Now available for Pre-Order
You can either purchase a digital copy (3 versions -- Just the film or 1 hour of extras or 8 hours of extras)
http://www.tdoslwh.com/
Or you can buy the DVD/BD. Here's the BD artwork:
The BD is $29.99
Here's the link to order the BD
http://tdoslwh.myshopify.com//produc...-bonus-content
Since this movie is an Indie production and they needed to raise funds to finish it, there is no way it's getting any cheaper than $30. I may actually pick this up. I know very little about this train wreck film and want to see how it all went down.

Okay, I know most here are going to be turned off by the price.
This company charges $10 for shipping and also sales tax.
Comes out to $43 total after tax and shipping. That's a lot for one BD.
I might hold off and probably just pay to watch it via On Demand. I don't need it that bad for $43.

I was interested in this but fuck that price. Might just rent it at some point unless someplace like Amazon puts it up for sale cheaper.

This movie never made it to filming, did it? I'd be a lot more interested in it if there was some never before seen footage. Just seeing video of costume design sessions and concept art isn't enough to get me to plunk down $40+.

This article goes over some of the stuff revealed in the documentary. I actually have to say the final suit on Cage doesn't look terrible, even if it is rooted in the 90's Batman style rubber muscle suit style.

I did go to the screening at the Egyptian last month and it's really interesting to see how far into the pre-production process they went. The suit was gnarly. I want to see it in action now. What KNB did is crazy and Cage really bought into the role. And Jon Peters is out of his fucking mind.

Tim Burton? Crazy Suit? Kevin Smith writing? Attempting something different? I'll roll with all of that. However, I still cannot fathom Nic Cage pulling off either Superman or Clark Kent.

I wish we had a way to explore multiverse, I'm sure there is another version of this reality where this movie got made!

I might have to buy at least the $14.99 digital copy of this. I want to learn more about this train wreck and how it was developed and then shelved.
Apparently it's available at Midnight tonight PT.

Yeah even as a 12 year old learning about Cage's casting, I was like "What the fuck." This should be an interesting watch, will probably rent it at some point.

Apparently this documentary is for purchase only. You either have to purchase a digital copy or get the DVD/BD. The thing that kills getting the BD for me is the $10 shipping charge.
I'm not surprised since this is an Indie film and they need to recoup their production costs.

And if anybody's going to SDCC this weekend, you can buy it there.
