I just cannot get excited over anything Ridley Scott does. There was a time, but it has passed.
I can hear Ridley now "It will be a gritty, realistic film about what happens to man in space ... Think Alien without an alien."

Scott should collaborate on something with Cameron Crowe.
She wants to break Nic Cage's record for most movies in one year.

That's a really neat way of doing a teaser. 3.5 minutes long, introduces all the characters and their basic personalities, and gives us the main plotline without showing any of the F/X.

Damn. That's a hell of a set up for a character situation. I really want to see this now.
I see they used some of that Fury Road trailer music, where is that from btw?

This one was written by Drew Goddard, another of the Lost crew but very notably NOT Damon Lindelof. He's credited with Cloverfield, Cabin in the Woods, and World War Z but I think he did the re-re-re-rewrite of what they already had. But then Spielberg also shit all over his Robopocalypse script.

That trailer looks good. I LOVED the book, one of my favorites of the last ten years, so I really hope they don't screw this up.
Also, I want to turn "science the shit out of this" into a catchphrase now.

Now THAT is a great trailer
It looks like a pretty faithful adaptation (the book was written rather cinematically, which helps). I would have preferred less plot exposition in the trailer, but they didn't go full Zemeckis either.

Looks great - and a killer cast to boot.

Trailer looks great!
I still have faith in Ridley Scott. He's made some clunkers recently but I think he still has a great movie or two in him.

Talking Spielberg and warmth. That ending to War of the Worlds. I was w/ that movie all the way to the end till that annoying piece of shit came back from what was undoubtedly impossible to survive but everyone takes it in and it's ok?
