Kanye West's "Yeezus" - W: Bret Easton Ellis / D: Hype Williams

A film poster for the upcoming movie from Kanye West, "Yeezus", was revealed today.

We've known a film for Yeezus has been in the works for a minute now. In February we got confirmation from the author of "American Pyscho", Bret Easton Ellis, that he'd been working on writing a film with 'Ye, and that was soon followed up with an official trailer for the film was released via Kanye's website. The trailer contained clips of the "Yeezus" tour, finishing off with the music from Yeezus ("On Sight"). The trailer let us know the film was directed by Hype Williams, and said it was "coming to theatres", although there was no indication of how soon that might be.

Today the roll out for the "Yeezus" film continues, with a new movie poster for it having been revealed by Milk Studios on Instagram. The allusions to "American Pyscho" continue, with the poster being stark white and showing some drops of blood, while the words "YEEZUS" are in bold black font at the top.

I'm probably in the minority around here, but I am a big fan of Kanye. His performance in Dave Chappelle's Block Party is one of my favorites.

LOL. How do you even know this. Do you know Kanye personally? If you don't then there is no way you can and should be saying this. Your perception of him might be to not like him but without knowing the person on personal level I wouldn't say this about anybody.

Post American Psycho (the book) Ellis hasn't done anything I've remotely enjoyed (except for Lunar Park). That alone is enough for me to avoid this.

You're right. If it makes you feel better... I don't like his public persona.

Yep, never met the guy, but he has a horrible, horrible public persona.

I was watching The Wall the other day and was lamenting the fact we don't have enough "album movies" these days (and I didn't like Once) so I'll take this as a hold over, if it is even anything like that.

Cool. I understand I used to say things about a certain celebrity like I hate them and my wife would correct me and say how can you hate them when you don't know them. So now I just say I can't stand how they act or something similar.

The same way we can dislike Donald Sterling despite not knowing him personally. Both of these guys have vile personalities.

I can't wait to see Kanye jump on stage and interrupt Daniel Day Lewis at the Oscars.

Dislike and hating are two different things. Hate is a pretty strong word for anyone especially if you don't know them personally. And WTF at comparing Donald Sterling and Kanye West. That's just idiotic and a horrible comparison in every way.

I haven't seen the mention of the word "hate" by anyone other than you. Why does it matter if some people on here "dislike" Kanye as a person? He hasn't done much to endear himself to the general population outside of his music that only some people enjoy.

Then you can't fucking read. There is a post two posts above yours with the word in it not by me.

Anyway you are about as ignorant as it gets with the Donald Sterling comparison alone. That just made no sense. There are plenty of people who respect and like working with Kanye. I don't know many that share that same feeling about Sterling except maybe his family members.

You ask why does it matter to me why people dislike Kanye. Well I'm a huge fan number 1 and number 2 when come in a thread about a movie about him and don't really add anything except i hate, oh excuse me, dislike Kanye that makes zero sense. So i guess the same way you don't understand why it matters to me is the same way i feel about you and others threadcrapping about how much you dislike Kanye. If you don't like him why did you post in this thread.

You sure get very defensive of things. Also, people have every right to dislike Kanye for the way he handles himself. Just as you and others do for Sterling and the things he says, which you threw a tizzy about the other day. I was somewhat interested in this as a project and clicked on the thread to only read about it but only felt the need to respond when people were questioned about their dislike of Kanye. Why does it matter? Do you throw tantrums as an adult?

Lol @ me being defensive. Take a look in the mirror. I give you me reply. Done discussing this particular issue with you. If you don't like it too bad.

Kanye West is a douche and I hate him. I have seen enough of him to know the man is a dick and has an uncontrollable ego.
The fact that "American Psycho" is a favorite of mine, Bret Easton Ellis having anything to do with this makes me discredit him just a tiny bit.

Somewhere, David Foster Wallace is smiling.
