You can always move up from toilet humor to satire, but you can't go the other direction. I've always found satire to be the smartest form of humor.

I still think the whole "factory that makes miniature models of factories" is pure genius. And I have yet to watch a Connery Bond, see Blofield/his cat without saying "LOOK WHAT YOU DID TO MR. BIGGLESWORTH!".
