Not a big surprise about Singer. He's a notorious chickenhawk. Lots of stories have been circulating for years in regards to his sexual predilections.

I always wonder where said stories circulate. I don't talk to enough celebrities to know these things myself.

I don't talk to enough celebrities either

You can find lots of stories and "allegations" about his parties via the internet. If one is so inclined. -wink-

i got to be truthful...i hate their lifestyles and don't condone in any way their actions and being disgraces as human beings, but damned if i don't like their movies. i loved Blue Jasmine, VCB, The Ghost Writer, The Pianist, among others...

sometimes i forget who directs and what their all about and just enjoy the films...

Same here. I would still want Polanski to pay for his crime but... That doesn't stop me from thinking him to be a great director.

Regardless of whatever Singer's involvement in this was... If Singer was no longer a director he'd be no loss for me. He's not someone that matters much for me.

I am friends with a lot of gay people here in the Cities through theater and I agree. Of course, there is a difference between hearing it directly from people and reading it from "unnamed sources" on the Internet.

I agree. I've heard it directly.

Rather, I should say I've heard it directly that Singer is usually seen courting younger men, not that he was raping anyone.

People just know the things that don't get talked about openly.

Put it this way:I'd reckon the vast majority of Hispanic South Florida families know EXACTLY what happens if your kid gets picked to join Menudo. Its common knowledge now, has been for well over 30 years.

Of course it still hasnt stopped greedy parents from dragging their kids to the auditions, blinded by dollar signs and showbiz avarice.

I freelanced at a company who's owner knew Singer very well. I have seen Singer with an entourage of young male assistants during various office visits.

I've never seen anything beyond that.

It's no Hollywood secret that Singer likes his boy toys young... and plentiful. Apparently there's even a name for them: "ducklings."

Singer's stock was probably at it's highest prior to the release of Superman Returns. Since then he's been treading water with stuff like Valkyrie and Jack... and barely staying above it.
The time for a money grab would have been back then.

Of course, coming off a bunch of successes at that point, Singer would have had a more formidable (studio sponsored) support system encircling him which would have made taking him on a daunting prospect for someone who was not only young but still relatively poor and powerless.
