Re: Philip Seymour Hoffman has died

Report is that he was found in the bathroom with a needle in his arm. What a shame to see such talent go to waste.

Re: Philip Seymour Hoffman has died

Damn. That's two local folks dead in the last 3 days.

Friday Danielle Downey 32 died in a one car accident. She was a well known local athlete holding numerous records as well as a participant on the LPGA tour.

Now PSH. We don't have that many well known people from Rochester. We can't afford to lose two.

I keep thinking that if Robert Downey Jr. could come back from the depths that he sank then anyone could. But I guess you have to live long enough to do it and PSH and Corey Monteith didn't

Re: Philip Seymour Hoffman has died

Terrible.

Paul Thomas Anderson films have made me a fan of PSH. So many great performances he's given in so many films.

Total waste.

Re: Philip Seymour Hoffman has died

My wife says they might just cut him out of mockingjay. Woukd be too distracting to replace him with dif actor . Not that it really matters much. We lost a great one today.

Re: Philip Seymour Hoffman has died

Watched him and Laura Linney in The Savages recently. Terrible loss, but cannot say that I am completely surprised given his prior drug issues.

RDJ kicked the habit in his 30s, so I'd say PSH had the time to do the same.

Still sad that a good actor died, though.

Re: Philip Seymour Hoffman has died

This one of the few actors whose roles I always anticipated. Sucks. May he R.I.P.

RDJ had to hit rock bottom before he could bounce back, unfortunately, PSH was far from that.

Oh yes, cuz all drugs are the same as heroin. Nice generalization.

And the "Dumb comment of the day" award goes to...

It's terrible that they found him with a needle filled with marijuana in his arm.

How many people are promoting legalization of heroin?

And the people that do support legalization of heroin don't do so on the basis that heroin is harmless.
