National Wrestling Association. A rival of WWE or WWF or WTF or something...

Curiously, those guys in the picture above this post don't look like wrestlers, even though they were apparently in the WCWC (World Class Wrestling Confederation).

That looked pretty badass. Can't wait to see a legit version come out in the new year.

I have a feeling it's going to be a huge hit with the Urban audiences.

Not to mention No One Can Do it Better was better than anything NWA or Easy-E put out after Cube left.

Personally, I'm gonna have a hard time with this. I grew up with this music. I pretty much know the stories. Yep, I'm an old fuck I'm just gonna be too critical to enjoy this.

I wonder if this will have a rap soundtrack and who will be on it?

MC Ren was easily the best rapper in N.W.A., he kept churning out solid solo albums after he left the group. Ice Cube became overrated by a few big solo hits after he left the group and his latter fame as a movie star.

Oh, The D.O.C. solo record was great, but I beg to differ.

NWA's 1991 album "Niggaz4Life" (without Ice Cube) is nearly a masterpiece, especially on the production end.

One of the few rap albums from way back then that actually still holds up today.

Re: STRAIGHT OUTTA COMPTON (NWA Biopic) - 2015 D: F. Gary Gray

N4Lyfe has far tighter production than Straight Outta Compton. It's really the first modern Rap album, Dre had finally begun to achieve his G-funk sound. It simply never hit mainstream music fans like Straight Outta Compton because none of it could be played on radio or MTV due to its lyrical content.

It was the Rap equivalent of the Beatles' Revolver.

Suge Knight kills member of film crew after an argument:

Former rap music mogul Marion "Suge" Knight was fleeing for his life when he allegedly ran over two people – killing one of them – in Compton on Thursday afternoon, his attorney James Blatt says.

A group of people attacked Knight and threatened to kill him and were “attempting to drag him outside of the vehicle when he made an effort to escape ... in fear for his life,” Blatt told the Los Angeles Times on Friday morning.
Suge Knight

But police have a different view. After interviewing the onetime hip-hop mogul, Los Angeles County detectives arrested him for murder.

Knight, questioned at the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department West Hollywood station early Friday, is being held in lieu of $2-million bail.

“The investigation is in the very beginning stages," Blatt said. "We anticipate him being exonerated.”

Knight, 49, allegedly ran over two men with his truck following an argument on a film set in Compton.

The confrontation began about 3 p.m. Thursday when Knight and two unidentified men began arguing on the set of "Straight Outta Compton," a biopic about the group N.W.A., said Capt. John Corina of the Sheriff's Department's detectives unit.

About 20 minutes after the alleged argument, the victims were at Tam's Burgers near Central and East Rosecrans avenues, authorities said. Knight is believed to have followed the men in his truck and run them over in the parking lot, Corina said.

Witnesses said the truck hit the men, then backed over them before leaving the scene.

One of the victims, 55, died, and the other, 51, suffered undisclosed injuries, Corina said. At least one of the victims was a member of the film crew, he said.

"I am positive Mr. Knight will be exonerated," Blatt said. "Investigators are still interviewing witnesses and still need to see video of the incident."

Traffic slowed to a crawl at the corner of Rosecrans and Central avenues as evening commuters tried to navigate past the crime scene. Onlookers gathered, trying to catch a glimpse of the parking lot of the popular burger joint. Social media exploded with the news about Knight's allegedly being involved in another crime.

Directed by F. Gary Gray, "Straight Outta Compton" tells the story of N.W.A., a pioneering rap group made up of Arabian Prince, DJ Yella, Dr. Dre, Eazy-E and Ice Cube, and later, MC Ren. Modern-day rappers credit the group with making rap mainstream and inspiring many of today's top artists. Knight's affiliation with the production of the movie, if any, is unclear.

Knight co-founded Death Row Records with Dr. Dre in 1991 and built it into the first rap label to consistently dominate the pop scene. But he has a history of legal troubles.

In 1996, Knight was at the wheel of a BMW in Las Vegas when passenger and popular rapper Tupac Shakur was shot by gunmen in another vehicle. Shakur died a week later, and the case has not been solved.

In 1997, Knight was sentenced to nine years in prison for violating the terms of his probation from an earlier assault case. He was released from prison in 2001 but was sent back to jail two years later for violating parole when he hit a parking lot attendant.

In 2006, Knight filed for bankruptcy. He put his Malibu mansion up for sale the following year. In 2008, he was arrested in Las Vegas on suspicion of drug possession and aggravated assault. The next year, he pleaded guilty to misdemeanor battery.

Last August, Knight and two others were shot inside a packed West Hollywood nightclub at a pre-awards party hosted by singer Chris Brown.

Totally agree. "Dayz of Wayback" and the Eazy R & B remake are my favorites. I have to see what happened to that cd.

I'm a huge 2pac fan. I remember being so excited that Suge bailed him out & signed him to a record deal back in 1995.

Really wishing one of my all-time favorites would have just served all his time and not been bailed out for $1.4 million.

He'd likely be alive today.

Suge's an idiot. He pressured his #1 artist, and raps biggest superstar, to get involved in petty street gangs, which resulted in 2pac getting shot and killed by some southside crips.

Interscope had the money I think but didn't want to be associated with bailing out an accused rapist. All Eyez On Me was a classic, and he did some of his best work in that final year with Deathrow, but it seems like the more 2pac became entrenched with Suge Knight the more detrimental it was to his attitude, music, and life. He was doing stupid things like joining a street gang and shouting them out in songs while starting even more beefs and churning out mediocre songs like "War Games."

Yeah, it may hurt the movie because public perception of police is really high right now.
