That could be pretty awesome.

Absolutely 10000000% agree with Archangel. Dine right, those metal wings would look bad ass.

Where does angel fit in in the movie universe? He was in #3 right?

Ben Foster would come back as Archangel, though. I thought he was weak as Angel.

Ben Foster has turned in to a pretty good actor since X3, I'd love to see them go that route and turn him in to Archangel.

Steroids. He was cool in 3:10 to Yuma and Pandorum. I forget that Last Stand was in 2006. Fuck, I'm old!

Ugh. I hated AoA. Besides being overblown, it started the trend of "event" storylines, finishing with a reset-button that pretty much says FU to all the readers. It's one of the things that made me quit monthly comics back in the '90s.

Re: X-Men: Apocalypse (May 27th 2016)

Age of Apocalypse didn't start the event gimmick.

Knightfall, Death and Return of Superman, Zero Hour, and The Clone Saga were all written before Age of Apocalypse.

Heck, events really started back in the mid 80s with Crisis on Infinte Earths and Secret Wars.

I'm just glad the success of the Avengers movie has lit a fire under the asses of the X-Men producers, otherwise we'd be getting a trilogy of Kitty Pride at the Massachusetts Academy with Emma Frost.

I meant the "reset button" as in most of what happened in all those books ended up not mattering. Those other events didn't hit the re-set nearly as hard as AoA did.

Anyone with half a brain could tell that AoA would have a big reset button. There is no way that Marvel was going to let AoA be the main continuity for X-Men.

They were outsourced to Image, but not all to Liefeld. Liefeld's Extreme Studios imprint had Cap and Avengers. Jim Lee's Wildstorm had Iron Man and Fantastic Four.

Also, after 6 issues, Liefeld's titles were taken away from him and were also given to Wildstorm to finish out the 13 issue run that each title had.

Re: X-Men: Apocalypse (May 27th 2016)

My only exposure to X Men before the films came out was watching the cartoons as a kid, and I loved the Apocalypse episodes.

I think the X Men films are the best of any comic book franchise thats been launched in the past 13 years. So I'm totally down for this.

Laurence Fishburne as Apocalypse? Anyone?

Re: X-Men: Apocalypse (May 27th 2016)

The big question for me with this movie is which cast are they going with? Original X-men from Singer or the cast of First Class....or like DoFP both together? They cant keep making movies with both together. I really enjoyed First Class and just like whats happening with MoS sequel, i think they are being seriously short changed in follow ups.

Oh, and as to the suggestion someone put forward for Laurence Fishburne...no. I am really tired of seeing his excuse for acting. Whatever happened to the King of New York guy? No we have a pompous self indulgent actor with no range.

Re: X-Men: Apocalypse (May 27th 2016)

Fox is considering a Marvel style Cinematic Universe.

So Fantastic Four and X-Men might be crossing over now.

Does Fox own any other Marvel property besides those two?
