He clearly had metal claws in the other trailer when he stuck them thru the top of that guy's head.

An R rated ultraviolent intimate character driven story. Kudos for going this route. Truly.

Let's not kid ourselves that this is some sort of bold, artistic statement to make this movie a hard-R. It's because Deadpool made a shit-tom of money. If it had tanked, this would be PG-13, no question about it.

Re: Logan (Wolverine 3) (2017, D: Mangold) S: Jackman, Stewart

I will say though it's odd to have this film be rated R when all the other X-Men films to date have been PG-13 (I'm not counting Deadpool). It just feels strange to have something that feels tonally different after all this time. Especially since this version of Wolverine isn't going to carry over to future X-Men films.

Kind of. The Wolverine is a nice little shift into R. Especially if you watch the extended cut.

Looks really promising.

It breaks my heart to see Patrick Stewart looking so old though. I know a lot of it is aging makeup, but he is 76. It's going to really hurt when Captain Picard goes into the great beyond.

Doesn't matter, getting rated R.

Re: Logan (Wolverine 3) (2017, D: Mangold) S: Jackman, Stewart

This is one of the few movies I plan to watch in theater this year.
Going to be hard to stay away from spoilers until I see the movie. It looks like it is going to be sad but kick ass.

Also liked the 1st trailer better, but the 2nd one is alright.

I'm not so sure we need Professor X dropping f-bombs, but whatever. I'm still excited for this one.

I watched the extended, essentially R-rated cut a few weeks back and found it much more satisfying than the Theatrical cut. Perhaps it's just a "placebo effect", but I did find it exhilarating, and it increased my anticipation for "Logan".

Re: Logan (Wolverine 3) (2017, D: Mangold) S: Jackman, Stewart

I really enjoyed The Wolverine and was surprised that people didn't like it. Especially after the mess that was Origins. Logan looks rather great and it only makes me wish we had one or two movies between The Wolverine and Logan to really give us some great stories. More Sabretooth (and Liev Schreiber was the best thing about Origins...so bring him back) and get Omega Red in there.

This looks bloody magnificent. Let's hope the end product is as good as the trailers lead me to believe...

I think a cooler title would have been, "The Logan". Especially with all the old dudes in lead roles.

It's actually Patrick Stewart's massive dong, seen briefly when Logan is changing Professor X's diaper.

Yeah I liked The Wolverine a lot too. It's not perfect but it's probably one of my overall favorite films of the X-Men franchise.
