In recognition of the Halloween season, I watched my beloved Prince of Darkness this evening. I still can't figure out why this movie got so trashed when it was released. Siskel and Ebert pretty much laughed it down the can on their TV show.

I was curious what some of the actors were up to, so I check wikipedia and find the lead actress, Lisa Blount had died on October 25th 2010 (3 years ago this night!)

I was reminded how most actors don't get big notices when they pass, just a little mention that is easily missed. It's always a bummer when I see someone I really like in a movie and look them up only to find out the're dead.

Maybe this is morbid, but I wish imdb would add a little pie chart on each movie page, indicating how many of the cast members have since passed on.

I hadn't realized Brion James had passed away in 1999, so when I looked him a couple of years ago it was quite the surprise. He seemed almost ubiquitous in the 80s/90s.

I always liked Robert Ginty, and was saddened when I looked him up not too long ago and found out he died of cancer in 2009.
