I enjoyed it. I've honestly never really been a fan of movies that take place in airplanes. The only ones I can recall enjoying are Executive Decision and Air Force One. Yet again our good enemy the shakey cam ruins the handful of fight scenes there are although since they take place in a cramped space it somewhat makes sense.

The acting was fine for the most part. Julianne Moore makes for a good primary female lead, and Neeson is able to captivate and be the everyman hero that you want to root for.

I thought the villains motivation was pretty slim, but I will say that it does hold your interest and the who did it reveal isn't terribly stupid. Overall I liked it. If you like Neeson, or mystery thriller type movies you'll have fun and get your money worth. The crowd I saw it with seemed to really like it also. 3.5/5.

Her role is very brief and background, but I am curious if new tv spots might be created if she wins the Oscar to play up her presence.

The movie itself is entertaining, but a lot of the stupidity bugged me.
Spoiler:
Trying to find the bad guy by sending him a photo and listening for it to ring? Given how clever he was proving himself so far, he just might be smart enough to either switch to vibrate or silence it.

Also, Julianne Moore still looks hot for her age, especially with the glasses.
Spoiler:
That was part of the over all plan, remember the one that help him send it was in on the whole time.

I agree with the 3.5 rating and Neeson is still kick ass.

I'm sure it won't be anything special but I kind of want to see this. I've enjoyed Neeson's recent action/thriller films like Taken, Taken 2, and Unknown so I think I'll enjoy this too. Might see it tonight or if not probably sometime next week.

Saw this yesterday. Neeson really elevates the material. I liked it. Could've been tighter and smarter but it was pretty entertaining.

Neat to see Moore and Neeson again. They work well together.

Really enjoyed it. Neeson has a way of making what would look like total crap on paper completely watchable. 8/10

Just got back from a screening and it was a lot of fun.

I don't care how clever you think you are I call bullshit that you will guess who the bad guy is.

Everyone in my screening freaked out when
Spoiler:
the Arab doctor set the NYPD officer's nose. People thought it'd be him.

Unknown and Non-Stop go great together.

I also think that if the studios (Universal) were smart and decided to tell the story of Jason Bourne (or the series for that matter) then Neeson would be awesome as an older agent. That's my dream. I'd follow Liam anywhere except Taken 2, which I haven't seen, because not even he could elevate that material, from what I heard.

Non-Stop is fun as fuck.

I'm probably one of the few that will say this but Taken 2 isn't nearly as bad as what most people will have you believe. It isn't the greatest film or very original obviously but I think if you enjoyed the first film you'd still have a decent time with it. To me it was no different from the Die Hard sequels where John McClane wound up in essentially the same situation or close to what happened in the original film. It's still got a bunch of Liam Neeson kicking ass and some decent action. If you go into it expecting some masterpiece or something you won't enjoy it but for just a popcorn action flick it's fine.

Just got back from seeing it as well.

It was a really fun movie, despite being stuck in the confines of an airplane for 110 minutes.

Neeson definitely elevated the material and added some intensity to it. Pleasantly surprised to see a clean shaven Anson Mount from Hell on Wheels here. I liked Julianne Moore here as well. She had good chemistry with Neeson working together.

The motive of the villain was a little out there.

Spoiler:

There were actually 2 villains. I was actually surprised who they were.

One was simply out to prove that America's airline security is flawed. He wanted to be some kind of martyr as revenge for his father's death.

The secondary villain, which caught me off guard, was a merc simply out for a payday.

But, I think the tension and claustrophobic atmosphere make it work. It's definitely a B or 8 out of 10 for me.

You should check out, Safe, DJariya. Anson Mount is great (and also clean shaven) in that. Sans beard he looks like he could be Jim Caviezel's brother.

I wholeheartedly agree. Also, on paper having the daughter be the one looking to rescue Brian seems like a terrible idea but was excecuted quite well on film.

anyone catch the age /birthdate of Neeson's character was his birthday IN 1961 or was he actually playing his real age: 61? (it was a quick shot of the passport)

fun movie, although I thought the soundmix was non-memorable - it should have been louder and more intense.

It was pretty loud and memorable in my screening.

must be the screen I saw it on - I had the same thought of 'The Dark Knight Rises' for a THX auditorium I think the sound is somewhat retweaked. [The IMAX was too loud, here on the THX screen (in digital lossless audio no less) sounded subdued, over at the Avalon (in 35mm) the sound was just right.]

Just saw this, man Neeson could be a guy locked in a supermarket overnight and make it look interesting.

I was really disappointed when it turned out the terrorist wasn't
Spoiler:
the little girl.

Also, did anyone else feel like the whole time we were expected to believe that
Spoiler:
Julianne Moore was the terrorist.

Furthermore, I wish at the end of the movie
Spoiler:
someone would have texted him again

Although I'm sure thats probably already an alternate ending that will show up on Blu Ray.

Me and my pal definitely thought so as well because we figured

Re: Non-Stop (2014) D: Collet-Serra; S: Neeson, Moore, Mount, Dockery

Spoiler:
not to mention that she said she could die at anytime because of her heart condition. which was mean't to possibly suggest, she knew she was going to die anyway so maybe she had nothing to lose. Also, besides Neeson, she was the biggest star in the film, usually the second banana in a film like this ends up being the villain. Otherwise, whats the point of her being in the film? She's an awfully big actor to be playing such an inconsequential part. I feel like everything about the role was mean't to throw the audience off track. From character right down to casting.

I too thought it was a lot of fun, although every bit of it was preposterous.

Best scene was the passengers fighting back, and Schindler making a List of asses kicked.

Also very glad to see
Spoiler:
the NYPD cop (Corey Stoll) survived his shooting at the end. I hated to see him go down.

Re: Non-Stop (2014) D: Collet-Serra; S: Neeson, Moore, Mount, Dockery

I thought this film was okay, not entirely riveting, but fine for its thriller genre. Liam Neeson's Bill the Air Marshall character has a lot of contend with as he is somehow framed in real time while on a flight to London as the master hi-jacker, all the while trying to figure out who the real hi-jacker is on the plane, and there are plenty of suspects to keep the audience guessing.

In light the Malaysian Air 370, its release is scarily prescient.

I give it 2.5 stars, or a grade of C+.
