If Seth Rogen won't work with him anymore, I can't imagine anyone will. I loved him in Pineapple Express but he wasn't talented enough to take a chance on at this point. His brother is doing great, at least.

Whiplash

Good stuff!

It was pretty funny when my wife said she didn't like J.K.'s character in this. She's never seen Oz.

I still think James is more talented than his brother though I don't hate him since he is a 49ers fan.

Peacock

A blind man after a miracle begins to see and becomes a asshole.

It was amazing how they made Malin Akerman look plain for this movie.

Kerry Bishe

Kind of slow and the ending was shitty.

Netflix disc rental

It was long but not bad.

The historical dramas you would see a lot in the past which they don't make anymore.

Starz

Had it on the DVR since 2017 and finally watched it.

It is considered a classic but overrated to me.

Slow and boring.

Chinatown would probably be in my top 5 in not top 10 of all-time. Slow and boring? Hmm were you paying attention?. Its one of the films that takes some commitment and attention although I never thought of it that way. The characters are rich and complication and John Huston is especially monstrous. I am taken aback by a negative response to this classic but to Each His Own. Cheers.

Everything Everywhere All At Once - finally watched this--wanted to see it before the Oscars tonight--and it's very good. Would love to see the actors (Yeoh, Quan, and Hsu) win their categories.

The Mask of Zorro (1998) — Solid swash-buckling action-adventure cast perfectly with Anthony Hopkins, Antonio Banderas and Catherine Zeta-Jones and finely directed by the great Martin Campbell. I don't remember much about its sequel, The Legend of Zorro, but kind of wished there would be one more to complete a trilogy (maybe titled Zorro's Last Ride?). In any case, was a fun ride and been a good decade plus the last time I watched. ***¾/***** (4K Ultra HD)

I know a lot of people liked it or loved it but it did not work for me

Interceptor - action movie starring Elsa Pataky (best known for the Fast and Furious movies and for being married to Chris Hemsworth). The movie is about a secret US military ocean-based missile platform that is under siege from terrorists, and Pataky's character is trying to stop them from taking control. Almost the entire movie takes place at the one location. I found it a pretty entertaining watch in the mold of an old-school action movie (it's Die Hard on a floating Army base). Pataky does a good job, playing her character pretty stoic in the beginning, but breaking down little by little as the story wears on and she gets more and more beaten up. It's currently on Netflix in the US.

Haywire. Soderbergh directs another expertly-made genre movie, this time about a spy who gets betrayed by her boss. The MMA fighter he cast as the leading lady was surprisingly good, and of course the fight scenes were excellent.

Netflix

Don't judge I needed something short to watch after the Oscars and all the other movies were 2 hrs +

It is hit or maybe mostly miss with Guy Pierce projects.

Blood Red Sky (2021)

Who knew a film about vampires on an airplane could be so dull.

The run-time for German film is listed at 121-minutes but it feels three times as long.

The Bad Guys (2022)

Although the overall plot is a bit predictable, I found this film enjoyable throughout due to stellar voice acting and animation.

Showtime

Nate Boyer the former Green Beret who told Kaerpernick it was ok to take a knee directed and played the lead.

It was ok though the quality of the acting might be questionable.
