Starz - Freaks Of Nature. Entertaining enough for a short horror comedy (only 1:35m long), but not a classic.

I watched Answer This! (2011) today and it was weird considering that it's a movie about a Pub Trivia competition, but also has discussion about The Bible in it. Also, Christopher Gorham is 37 when this movie was shot and he plays a college student... 3/5

"That Guy, Dick Miller" on Amazon Prime. A very entertaining documentary on the career of veteran supporting actor Dick Miller. The surprising part is seeing a lot of familiar faces from the B-Movie past (including Mary Woronov, Archie Hahn) and seeing that they, -along with me, -have gotten quite a bit older.

Five Easy Pieces

All the critics loved it but I thought it was a average movie.

Definitively not in the same league as the Shining or even Hoffa.

Jauja - 4/5

In 1882, the 15 year old daughter of a Danish engineer working in Argentina runs away with a young soldier. The father who is employed by the army, which is conducting a campaign of genocide against the Indians, takes it upon himself to go on a quest into uncharted territory to find her. A beautiful and haunting film that can be rewarding for those that have the patience. Another great performance by Viggo Mortensen.

As soon as you said "Danish engineer" I was like "I wonder if Viggo is in this?" And he is.

He speaks both Danish and Spanish in it. What's interesting and will be noticeable to Spanish speakers is that in this film when he speaks Spanish (which in real life he speaks perfect), he does it with awkwardness and a Danish accent. Nice touch to make it seem more realistic.

Nice. Yeah, he normally speaks Spanish with an Argentinian accent having grown up there.

Definitely checking this out.

Neon Demon - Mixed feelings, but I was never bored watching it. The third act could have made or broke it. Unfortunately, for me it broke it.

Hell or High Water...magnificent movie. so tense and taut, right down to the last confrontation between Pine and Bridges. brilliantly executed.

21 Grams

Saw it before back around 2004 but felt like a new movie since I forgot most of it.

Blood Father...holy god was this awful. Like a straight to video release. Gibson was too manic and the daughter was awful. I was really disappointed considering 86% on RT. The dialogue was so amateurish and no one was believable as these enhanced, absurd characters. Really disliked. Have Payback: Straight Up in the queue to get good Gibson. I loved Edge of Reason and this was not even remotely as good.

Actually it had a very limited worldwide theatrical run, including in the U.S. back in early August.

It says it was, but the US release is not tracked on any box office site.

Kickboxer: Vengeance (2016)

Keep your expectations super low if you're curious to see this. I would give this a C at best. I can see why this was a problematic production. It looked low budget.
