I'm 60% that guy. I saw five of the movies on his list and thought that three of them sucked ass.:D

In no particular order

Cosmopolis - might have a philosophy behind it, but absolutely no fun to watch
The Five Year Engagement - Painfully unfunny
Casa De Mi Padre - Hunh!?! (I think I got the joke - in the first 3 minutes)
The Three Stooges - I remember Kingpin - what the hell happened to these guys?
The Raven - Could have been campy fun - instead was campy boredom
Lawless - on my list because it could have been so good!
That's My Boy - I know it was supposed to be dumb, and it delivered
Men in Black III - durrrr
Mac and Devin go to High School - If only I still smoked weed
This Means War - It was on my film list, and I had to look it up on imdb... so bad, such a waste of some good actors...

In a theater this year it would be

The Expendables 2.

Too many to mention on DVD that were terrible except Grave Encounters 2. Really liked the first one the second I could barely get through. It sucked. Thanks to Amazon it was free on VOD.

Men In Black 3 >>>>> Prometheus. And I've never liked a Barry Sonnenfeld movie before, and I'm entirely too much of a Ridley Scott apologist. This year has been weird, man...

Silent Hill: Crapfest >>>>>>>> Prometheus.

Oh man I forgot about That's My Boy. That was a horrible fucking movie.

Yeah no. The fact Charlize Theron and Michael Fassbender show up in a few scenes makes it better by default.

Re: Worst of the year 2012

The two that REALLY let me down were The Amazing Spider-Man and Bourne Legacy. I didn't think that Spider-Man would be great, but it was barely good. Legacy really shit on the Bourne...um...legacy.

If The Hunger Games came out this year (I'm too lazy to research it), it's by far the worst movie I saw in theaters this year. What a pile of trash.

That is all.

As someone who liked the Alien films but never felt strongly about them, I enjoyed Prometheus. I think people held Ridley to too-high standards.

As someone who made the mistake of seeing Robin Hood in theaters, I know the bitter taste of disappointment. I had no expectations going in and they were surpassed.

This isn't even the worst movie starring Charlize Theron.

Yeah 'Prometheus' was terrible. What a complete failure as a film. 'Robin Hood' was a masterpiece by comparison.

Exactly, most sci-fi geeks in this forum were let down because Prometheus didn't give them a major hard on and make them ejaculate in their pants. ;)

I thought it was okay. Not a masterpeice, but far from the worst. It wasn't Ridley's best work, but still a visually impressive science fiction movie. Hell, I went ahead and got the 3-disc BD.

I liked Prometheus. Great effects and three of my favorite actors in one movie.

The only semi-decent Alien movie before was Alien (Aliens was only good in the dumb way all Cameron movies are), anyway. I guess it helps that I never really worshiped the franchise before.

In fact, it's still the only movie that has anything to do with the franchise that I own on Blu.

Actually, I was let down because of the massive gaps in logic.

I still enjoyed it, for the most part, but the script was undoubtedly the film's worst enemy. A few decent ideas, some interesting bits of interpretation, and a lot of dubiousness.

Re: Worst of the year 2012

Prometheus wasn't perfect by any means but I didn't hate it as much as some of you. Maybe it's because I was never the hugest Alien fan to begin with I guess. I like them to an extent but the franchise was never really something I'd consider a favorite. I will agree that Prometheus had it's share of problems though.

Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Slayer was extremely painful to sit through. What an awful CGI infused crap fest. The 2 minute trailer for That's My Boy already told me it would be garbage.

Hardly. First off, I rarely watch a film that has a high probability of sucking so my list can't include Sandra Bullock romcom's and movies like Battleship. Second, why would I list 3 films that practically no one has ever heard of if my main purpose is to rip on successful movies? And finally, I loved Dark Knight Rises, Prometheus and American Reunion, which pokes a lot of holes in your theory that I only wanted to bash "popular/successful" movies. Because if that were the case Dark Knight Rises would probably appear at number one.

The truth is, the movies I listed just weren't very good. Deal with it.
