Grabbers (2012, d: Jon Wright, s: a bunch of Irish folk)

I just have to say I support the premise of beating monsters by making yourself poisonous by drinking. And drinking more.

Saw this at the Vancouver Film Fest last year. I enjoyed it quite a bit. It was somewhat reminiscent or Shaun of the Dead. Quite a few laughs.

Wow, really loved this one! An old fashioned monster movie. The storyline, pacing and the tone of the comedy/horror mix were very much in line with Tremors---just with a scenic Irish seaside setting, and a lot more alcohol. Not that groundbreaking or original, and it builds up kind of slowly, but I thought this was a really nice cast, and some pretty decent creature effects, too. Very fun! If you like Tremors, this one would be right up your alley, I would think.

That looks badass. I thought it was JOE Wright as the director.
