The Biggest Winner for 2013 will be....
I was thinking about the year ahead and which movies will succeed and which will inevitably fail. So, what better way to test the waters than a poll. Personally i think that there are no brainers such as Iron Man 3, Man of Steel, Monster University and of course the next chapter in the Hobbit that will make truck loads of cash. But which do you think will be the top earner?

What a depressing line-up of movies. Two superhero sequels, a superhero reboot, a Hobbit sequel, a Hunger Games sequel, a GI Joe sequel, a F&F sequel, a Die Hard sequel, two CG-animated film sequels, two "reimagined" fairy tale properties... recipe for schlock.
Say what you want about Cloud Atlas, but I didn't see it either.

I'm going with my gut and saying it's going to be The Hobbit (is The Desolation of Smaug the actual title?
)
Iron Man 3 may be the big winner though. People seem to be going cuckoo for the teaser trailer.

Has anyone thought for a moment The Hobbit might flop? I think a lot of people that have no knowledge of what the tone of the Hobbit book will go in thinking it'll be a serious and dark film like LOTR and come out disappointed.

Out of the ones on the poll (so ignoring the new Star Trek movie), I think the order of the Top-4 will be this:
#1 Iron Man 3 (release date: May 3, 2013)
#2 The Hobbit: Desolation of Smaug (release date: 13 December 2013)
#3 Man of Steel (release date: June 14, 2013)
#4 The Hunger Games: Catching Fire (release date: November 22, 2013)
I pick Iron Man 3 because of its early May release date. It'll have a full 2 weeks of no major box office opposition until Star Trek Into Darkness opens on May 17th. I think it will get such a head start on box office totals during those 2 weeks, that nothing released later will have a chance to catch it.
