Not Fade Away (D: David Chase S: Gandolfini)

I just finished The Sopranos recently. Feel great to have David Chase back in action, and Gandolfini's ACCENT.

Not getting good early reviews on IMDB - 5.6. And holy crap does that girl look like Heather Graham...15 years younger.

Is this supposed to be modeled on Bob Dylan?

Looks pretty boring. Also, that chick really does look like a young Heather Graham.

100% of my interest in this is because of Chase and Gandolfini. It might very well be an average movie but I am going to be seeing it for sure. But unfortunately it probably won't be around until mid January.

Re: Not Fade Away (D: David Chase S: Gandolfini)

I generally thought this was a really good movie, but Chase seems better attuned to TV than movie making (i.e, the editing), the story and specifically the storylines/character arcs seemed to boxed in to the film's running time... it could have been longer IMO.

Re: Not Fade Away (D: David Chase S: Gandolfini)

Yeah, I felt it could have been better paced, especially the ending. The ending narration didn't seem necessary to me either. A lot of it was really good but as a whole I thought it was okay. Gandolfini of course was awesome, and Bella Heathcote was good too.

You know, it's been growing on me. Now it has gone from a meh to a I want to see it again It was very well acted. I think it's just a nostalgia piece. Have to go first Django again first though. And all the new movies each week.

I thought she looked more like Zoey DesChanel but now I see the Heather Graham resemblance and she in the running to play Cinderella.

The ending? WTF really?

It was a good move and I was entertained until the ending. A lot of good bonus features on the Blu-ray.

Jack Huston (Richard Harrow from Boardwalk Empire) is also in it.
