This is probably at least more refreshing than the same ol dooky that each Blade Runner thread reverts to at least.

This movie is like Doritos is the Devil thread in other talk.
It cannot quit, even though i know it's not good, Tony has been dissasembled as being "not cool" and yet the urge remains to watch it. I guess because he's not part of anything or connected but a lone dog that appeals to the everyman. Also this might be the only coke movie actually made in the 80s when this was going down for reals.

De Palma's most important contributions to contemporary cinema lie in his inventive, visually dynamic style.
He frequently employs such techniques as the stalking, searching camera; the "God's eye" point of view; and an expressively detailed mise-en-scéne.
A master of rhythmic editing, he often opens his films with an extended, viscerally composed sequence.
The now-classic prom sequence in Carrie, with its use of the split screen, slow-motion and cross cutting, typifies the rich versatility of De Palma's craft.
He certainly tries lots of tricks but it means his movies end up looking cheap, to me at least. Contrasted with someone like Fincher who places the camera where it needs to be not where he thinks it might be cool.

I'm a minority and a product of Chicago public school system which is run by liberal Democrats. They gave me a diploma even though I couldn't spell or write.
As of today the Chicago school system is worse off.

I didn't mean to become political in this SCARFACE thread I just wanted to answer his question.

Disagree on both counts but it's just my opinion.
