What single location has been most depicted in film?
I got to thinking about this. What single location has been used in the most films? Not something generic like "A BEDROOM" but a real place.
First I place I thought of was The White House, but the truth is that the real White House has almost never been used as a location, it's usually a set. So then I thought the Lincoln Memorial. It's been in dozens of films I've seen and probably hundreds of others I haven't seen and they almost always shoot at the real location.
Anyway, what are some others?
Answers like "The Warners Studio back lot" are not good answers. I mean real world locations. And general shit like "New York City" is too easy. I mean an actual place, like The Staten Island Ferry or The Empire State Building. Come to think of it the Empire State Building might be a contender.

Bronson Canyon in Griffith Park (downtown L.A.) has been used in hundreds of films and TV shows from old serials to "Mighty Morphin Power Rangers." But in each case, it represents something different (a mine in the old west, a landing spot for aliens, a cave in prehistoric times, etc.).
So I'm guessing what you really mean is something like the L.A. City Hall which was the Daily Planet in the old Superman series, and police headquarters in the old Dragnet series, among tons of other films and TV shows.

If you're a fan of 70s HK kung fu movies, you will recognize this backdrop

I thnk it's overlooking Kowloon bay in Hong Kong? I remember someone on a forum saying that if the camera panned too far during a fight scene it would probably pick up the fight scene from another kung fu movie being filmed at the same time.

Just watched Dirty Harry. Naturally, there was a scene at Golden Gate Park.
