Re: The Prestige question
This thread convinced me to get The Prestige on Blu-Ray when it was really cheap around Thanksgiving, and I got around to watching it again last night. I first saw it when it initially came out on DVD. What a great movie. It absolutely holds up over multiple viewings. I feel like I could go back and watch it again very soon, and that's pretty unusual for me.

This is one of those movies I don't get sick of. I could probably watch it twice in the same day and not be bored. It holds up incredibly well.

Re: The Prestige question
Absolutely. At first it seems the setup is that Angier is the "good guy" you are supposed to root for, and Borden is the "bad guy" of the movie, but as Angier gets more and more obsessed with Borden and "winning" the battle of illusions, it gets harder and harder to root for him. In the end, neither is very sympathetic at all, yet the movie doesn't suffer because of it.
