Oddly I was thinking about him the other day, and he popped up in an episode of Franklin a Bash on tnt.

Reality hit. There's only so many roles for crazy characters out there. I'm sure he could keep getting work in B-movies and genre stuff, though I'm sure it sucks going from feature films to that. It's a living though.

IMDB has quite a few listings for him for this year and next. Looks like some TV work, some DTV stuff and some voiceover work too.

He was pretty good as Shaggy in the Scooby Doo movies.

Jake and Mark-Paul Gosselaar both come in to my shop, in Venice. Jake is doing a lot of work, and Mark-Paul is on his honeymoon.

Jake Busey was in Road House 2. He gives one of the funniest performances I've ever seen in a movie that isn't mean't to be funny. But it seemed like he was in on the gag. Like he knew how shitty Roadhouse 2 is, so he decided to have some fun. Road House 2 has become my go to 'so bad its good' movie.

Jake, bless him, didn't really "happen" to begin with. I'm sure he'll always have steady work, because he still works often, but he's never been a memorable lead or supporting character. There's no "Bring back Shasta McNasty" letter campaign.

I never, ever thought that slack ass would end up being part of a movie nominated for Best Picture. He also directed something called "Fat Kid Rules the World".

I read an article that featured Lillard (in an airline magazine, of all places), where he seemed rather open about the fact that it was difficult for him to land work, and he had to network much harder than some other actors to get jobs. That Shaggy stigma is difficult to shake off.

I just saw Lillard in a movie trailer the other day. It might have even been one posted on this forum. That new Clint Eastwood flick? The 10 year reunion movie? I'll have to check to figure out where I saw him.

Edit: yeah, He's in Clint Eastwood's new flick The Trouble with the Curve.

He was pretty good in The Descendants too, I barely recognized him. But yeah if you're that good at being Shaggy to the point where you even voice him in the cartoon...that might be hard to shake.

Lillard is around. I've met and talked with him personally. He's a very kick back dude without any attitude. He's also pretty tall. He's like 6"3 or 6"4.

Jake was great as the killer in Scream.
