Noah (2014) D: Aronofsky S: Crowe
Let's get this started... I haven't been this excited about a film since The Passion of The Christ... which will coincidentally have been released 10yrs ago upon this films' release. Mel jokes aside, my understanding is that Aronofsky isn't a Christian but has a great love and appreciation for the story. Good enough for me.... I don't think a 100+million budget would've been approved if he intended to offend believers. The casting of Crowe is also key, as he's well-liked amongst Christians due to his more "traditional" films (Gladiator, Cinderella Man, etc) I hope it works...

All I keep thinking is that Steve Carrell disaster... I'm sure this will be better but we'll see.

Re: Noah (2014) D: Aronofsky S: Crowe
Any word on whether there will be dinos?
|
Re: Noah (2014) D: Aronofsky S: Crowe
^ That would just make the story unbelievable...

Re: Noah (2014) D: Aronofsky S: Crowe
You know, that Dutch guy just finished his (apparently) actual-size replica of the ark. Maybe they can use that.

Aronofsky tweets with photos from the set about what he is filming. It's interesting to follow.

Re: Noah (2014) D: Aronofsky S: Crowe
I'll have to add him to my feed.
Gotta say, as much as I was anti-Twitter I've really come to enjoy the project updates it provides depending on who you follow. |
Re: Noah (2014) D: Aronofsky S: Crowe
I hope this film deals with how Noah kept the two termites, woodpeckers and beavers from sinking the Ark during the fourty days they were on it.

Re: Noah (2014) D: Aronofsky S: Crowe
I'm not hugely religious or anything but Aronofsky really hasn't made a bad film if you ask me so I'll see this regardless of not being overly interested in the subject matter.

Who cares what filmmakers had for breakfast?!

Re: Noah (2014) D: Aronofsky S: Crowe
Without knowing anything about this movie, I'm picturing it as being structured like Deep Impact, Know1ng and The Day After Tomorrow, with the floodwaters coming right at the very end.

Re: Noah (2014) D: Aronofsky S: Crowe
How can Snake post on Twitter? They only allow 140 characters and every thing he posts has 52 ellipses.
|
Re: Noah (2014) D: Aronofsky S: Crowe
That still leaves enough room for at least 22 uses of "fuck" and/or "rape".

Re: Noah (2014) D: Aronofsky S: Crowe
Sandy may have destroyed the massive Ark set. Is that irony?
They can't get to the set to confirm it due to impassable roads as of the last article I read. |

Hopefully they were out there shooting during Sandy. Think of all that money they could have saved.

So we all agree it is indeed ironic.

I just wonder how Aronofsky's going to handle the Master Dog reveal.
