And 2001 crushes this and all other competition.

It is. GBU's unhinged whimsy is stronger than OUTATW perfectionism.

The poll says otherwise. TGTBTU for the win.

People voting for TGTBATU sure aren't posting comments. While that's a solid movie, IMO, 2001 is a masterpiece. I still watch it in awe today and am astounded it was made almost 45 years ago.

For A Few Dollars More is Leone's best 60's film. Get with the program.

Leone is barrel rolling in his grave. Even he would've voted for 2001 in this poll.

That's not a choice in this poll.

Re: Good, Bad, Ugly vs. 2001

True, but people were debating the best Leone film of the 60's. And I'm here to tell you it's For A Few Dollars More.

I can't vote - this is too much of a Sophie's Choice situation.

Yeah but you don't have any Godard in your poll either.

I completely agree. 2001 meanders during the 2nd half of the movie and you just want HAL to steer the ship into the sun or blow it up to get the movie over with it's so boring. It's my least favorite Kubrick film where TGTbTU is my favorite Leone film, so it's a no brainer for me.

Re: Good, Bad, Ugly vs. 2001

If you asked which was my favorite using OUATITW vs. 2001. It's OUATITW. 2001 is the better film though. And 2001 is still better TGTBTU...and TGTBTU is a weak film compared to OUATITW...cuz that motherfucker is work of goddamn art.

OUATITW is a great film, no doubt, but Eastwood + Van Cleef + Wallach =MAGIC.

Re: Good, Bad, Ugly vs. 2001

That can be true as well...just...that last duel. Sums up everything about your hero and your villain. And why that villain has to die more so now. The moment you see it. You say, "This fucker has to pay now and hard."
