So ... who's your favorite James bond, huh?

Connery aka Thunderthighs
Lazenby aka Tooth Gap
Moore aka The Eyebrow
Dalton aka Dracula
Brosnan aka Eddie Munster
Craig aka Putin

Let the games begin!

I'm going with Moore.

Connery, obvo. Although Moore has creeped up my list, from last to third (second would be Craig).

Connery, but I did really enjoy Dalton's take. Licence to Kill is a slick revenge flick.

Worst: Brosnan.

This will never happen but Idris Elba would make a good James Bond.

Back when Brosnan first talked about quitting, I was hoping Colin Salmon would get the nod.

I've never thought of that, but this is spot on. Would love to see him get consideration if/when Craig leaves the role.

As for the poll, I like 'em all but voted Connery.

I don't dislike any of them, but I find Moore's movies to be the most entertaining. I'm sure some of that is nostalgia, as he's the one I grew up with.

Re: So ... who's your favorite James bond, huh?

I'm weird, but I like Daniel Craig probably since I never paid attention to Bond movies until seeing Casino Royale. I went back and watched the old ones that are available on Blu and I like Connery, didn't like Moore, and Brosnan is ok. I'm 29, so Brosnan was the guy I was most familiar with as the character.

Inspiring. I am definitely recommending you be promoted. Would I love to see Elba do Bond. Or maybe more realistically seeing him try to take Bond down.

I liked Dalton but I thought The Living Daylights >>> License To Kill.

Re: So ... who's your favorite James bond, huh?

I like Licence To Kill but neither of the Dalton Bonds feel right to me. Like they're imitation Bond films or something. It's weird because I love Timothy Dalton, but he never quite gelled as Bond in my eyes.

Doh, Penginjoe deserves the promotion, not Supermallet for the Elba idea.

Re: So ... who's your favorite James bond, huh?

Connery is the easy answer.

I'll go against the grain and say Brosnan as #2. Unfortunately he was saddled with terrible movies.

Re: So ... who's your favorite James bond, huh?

Timothy Dalton.

I love Connery, Moore was fun at times, Brosnan had his moments as well (he was a natural in the role), Lazenby wasn't bad (and could have become much better), and Craig has done a good job so far, but Dalton just nailed it.

He went back and re-read all the Fleming Bond novels prior to filming The Living Daylights, and it showed.

I just wish that he could have done one or two more. Licence To Kill is one of my favorite Bond movies (right up there with Dr. No and From Russia With Love), and I love The Living Daylights. Those movies really were the precursor to the Craig era. The problem was that Dalton followed Moore, not Connery. Bond fans had grown so accustomed to the wisecracking, softer Bond of Roger Moore that Dalton's tougher, more literary approach came as a shock to the system and a lot of people just weren't ready for it.

Same here. I seem to recall ABC would run Moore's flicks as the Sunday Night Movie all the time, and my dad would always watch them.

I have a soft spot for Tomorrow Never Dies as that was my first DVD, and Craig's Casion Royale was just incredible.

Re: So ... who's your favorite James bond, huh?

Connery by far.

I like Timothy Dalton and Daniel Craig. Not a big fan of Roger Moore and Pierce Brosnan.

OHMSS was the first Bond film I ever saw so i have a nostalgic fondness for George Lazenby...especially as it was only years later that I found out it wasn't Connery in the film.

Sean Connery, I read a bunch of the books right after I saw Dr. No. He had the ruthlessness of Bond down perfect.

Agree on Dalton, although The Living Daylights is actually MY favorite Bond flick overall.
