Snowpiercer (Bong Joon Ho, 2013) — Evans, Swinton, Hurt in post-apocalyptic SF film
Snowpiercer has been in development for years, but is finally now in principal photography in the Czech Republic.
It's based on an old sci-fi graphic novel from France about a train circling a frozen earth.
The cast sounds awesome (Tilda Swinton! John Hurt!), and this is from the director of The Host.
Hopefully released in 2013. No other info right now.

Tilda Swinton gives me the creeps but I'm usually down for anything post-apocalyptic so I'll check it out.

I'm not going to lie. There's something oddly attractive of her. Loved her in Constantine. Was the first time I ever saw her and I've been a fan of her since.

Swinton has a unique androgynous look, and should really be cast as the lead in a David Bowie biopic (or at the very least, a made-for-HBO Conan O'Brien biopic). Also one of the best working actoresses out there and the sole highlight of Constantine.
I'm not a huge fan of Bong's work (I like the ideas and plot points in both The Host and Mother, and they were both fairly well made, but they also managed to bore the hell out of me.) but I'm always interested to see what Chan-wook Park is working on, even if it turns out weak at least it's usually interesting. Those two together would be interesting.

You should watch Memories of Murder from Bong. Great thriller.

I've seen Memories of Murder as well, forgot that was him.
They should go ahead and bring Jee-woon Kim (Tale of Two Sisters, Bittersweet Life, I Saw the Devil, etc; who I consider on par with Chan-wook Park, more so than Bong... but he's finishing off that new Arnold Schwarzenegger movie) on board and just have the trifecta of violent, methodically paced S. Korean directors working together.

I'm definitely interested in this. Bong is one of my two favorite directors from Korea. Swinton and Hurt are excellent.

Coincidentally, Snowpiercer Bong is also the name of my line of boarding gear.

Apparently the script was "polished" by Kelly Masterson (Before the Devil Knows You're Dead) and not actually written by him.

Snow Piercer - (from Bong Joon-ho & Park Chan-wook)
Adapted from the French graphic novel Le Transperceneige, Snow Piercer unfolds in a post-apocalyptic world covered with ice and snow. The plot centers around a train full of survivors who struggle to co-exist as they continue to cling to their old ways. The survivors come from all over the world and are divided up by economic classes, so people are fighting each other over that class struggle.
"Chris Evans has just entered talks to star in Snow Piercer, from The Host director Bong Joon-ho. That’d be enough to pique interest already, but it gets even more intriguing from there: The film was co-written by Bong and Oldboy helmer Park Chan-wook, who’s also producing. Though neither filmmaker is a household name in the States just yet, that could be changing soon as Bong will be making his domestic directorial debut with Snow Piercer, and as Park’s wrapping up his first English-language film Stoker.
The film will also reunite Bong with his The Host and Memories Of Murder star Kang-ho Song, who also starred in Chan-wook's Sympathy for Mr. Vengeance, Lady Vengeance and J.S.A.: Joint Security Area.
The movie has been on Bong’s back burner since 2005 or so, and during a 2009 interview said that he hoped to begin filming in 2011. He’s obviously missed that deadline, but Variety reports that production on Snow Piercer is now expected to begin shooting in March and that the film is “already drawing the attention of handful of top-tier Hollywood talent,” so expect to see more casting announcements soon.
Bong’s most recent film was Mother, which received worldwide acclaim when it was released in 2009 and earned several critics’ awards. Park is in post-production on Stoker, which stars Mia Wasikowska, Nicole Kidman, Dermot Mulroney, and Matthew Goode."

Whether by coincidence or design, Park Chan-Wook, Kim Jee-Woon, and Bong Joon-Ho are all making their English language directorial debut this year.

The Koreans are taking over. I actually wouldn't mind that. They seem to bring fresh direction to recognized narratives.

Important to know that's not a trailer (more of a making of featurette) and it's not in English and it's without English subs.
