The Anarchist Serfs, only because you left the best part:

The opening credits.

The ones listed are all great scenes, but I opt for one not listed: the one where they argue about the swallow, because it's a setup for the best gag in the film which comes just before the end. ("African or European?")

Is this the one with killer rabbits?

"I don't want to talk to you no more, you empty-headed animal food trough wiper! I fart in your general direction! Your mother was a hamster and your father smelt of elderberries!"... -kd5-

While the Black Knight scene is extremely quotable for me, the one I remember getting the biggest laugh from me the first time I saw it was the "Knights of the Round Table" song. I still giggle at the guy clapping while hanging alone in the dungeon.

I think my favorite moment is when they aren't really doing anything, and God comes out and says "Get on with it!" Either that or the convent scene.

FATHER: One day, lad, all this will be yours!
ERBERT: What, the curtains?

That's the very first option listed. ;)

Ah! Now that you mention it,

Of Kings and Coconuts - "he could grab it by the husk"
does refer to the scene I'm talking about. I just don't immediately associate that scene with those keywords.

I went for other, the scene where they're reading the inscription on the cave wall.

"Why would he write 'Yeeeeargh'?"
"He must have died while he was writing it."
"If he had died while writing it, he would have just said 'Yeeeeargh,' he wouldn't have written it."
"Maybe he was taking dictation?"

And while the movie is good, it's no Life of Brian.

It's not a very quotable movie so I'm not sure what scenes you are referring to in the poll.

You must have watched it with the sound off.

This is like a parent with multiple children having to choose to keep one and kill the rest.

The film is nearly perfect for me until the last scene or two.

I don't understand why you hate this movie Rockmjd23, it's pretty good.

He's not the only person. I have a friend who is completely baffled by it's popularity. She thinks it's just random stupidity.

She also hates the Marx Brothers. And Loony Tunes. And all British humor.

I feel sorry for her, and for Rockmjd23. :(

Are people still not getting that Rockmjd2 is being sarcastic?

For some reason, I don't think LOB is anywhere near as funny as MPatHG. But I had forgotten about that scene in the cave ... maybe I need to revisit this movie again.

LOB is one of the best comedies ever made. The sermon on the mount, the stoning scene, the Latin grammar lesson, what have the Romans ever done for us, the guy who wants to be a woman, Biggus Dickus, and on and on.
