I really liked this movie a lot, may have to go see it again. The car chase is great stuff.

I honestly didn't have much interest in this based on the premise or trailer, but after seeing the overwhelmingly positive reviews on RT I decided to give it a shot.
To my surprise I ended up liking it. You could tell the cast had a great time filming this.
Funniest scene was where they were fingering each other's mouths to get them to puke. That had me cracking up.

I just saw it and loved it. Can't wait to own it on BD.

Spoiler:
My audience was also surprised to see Depp. I thought it was fairly obvious that it was him from the very beginning of the movie.

This movie was great. A sure pick-up once it's released on blu ray. Would probably go again in theaters if someone wanted to go.

Saw it today and really enjoyed it. I had no interest in seeing it before the reviews, but after all of the positive feedback, I just had to check it out. This movie had some great comedy in it. It's so nice to see a movie billed as a comedy and actually being able to laugh at what I was watching. The TV show callbacks were great with Depp and Peter DeLuise. I imagine after this weekend a sequel will be announced (probably without Depp or DeLuise though...)

The script for the sequel is already being written and the sequel itself is poised to be greenlit if the films makes good in the boxoffice.

Phil Lord and Chris Miller now have one of those rare lifetime passes from me after Clone High, Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs and this. It was a complete blast from beginning to end.

The only problem I had with this film was that it needed more Nick Offerman.

The most surprising thing about this film for me was not the cameo's, but was finding out that the guy who reminded me of James Franco in the film turned out to be Dave Franco, James's brother.

And he was one of the interns in the last couple of seasons of Scrubs.

Okay. Definitely without Depp or DeLuise. I didn't want to give away a huge spoiler, but there you go.

You don't have to worry about giving out spoilers in review threads. It is assumed that if you post in a review thread you've seen the movie.
I believe that is listed in the posting guidelines.

I just read over at Wikipedia that Jonah Hill originally wanted Rob Zombie to direct this flick. I'm so glad that never happened.

Meh. They can employ an action movie cliche and have them pop up alive in the sequel. I mean, hell, Riggs survived what were meant to be fatal injuries in Lethal Weapon 2 when an extra scene was tacked on at the end. They could easily retconn the ending for this film in a sequel.

Although it'd be funny if they bring in Richard Grieco to kill him off as well.

Channing Tatum is my arch nemesis but the reviews convinced me to see it. Absolutely loved it and I apologize to Tatum as I didn't know he had it in him.

I thought it was near perfect except for two scenes.

And those would be? Spoiler them if you're afraid of revealing anything to those who haven't seen it yet.

I'll be down for a sequel when it gets made as long as Rob Zombie doesn't have anything to do with it.

He won't. The sequel was just greenlit and it will be written by the same writers and will have the same directors.

Spoiler:
Obviously my opinion...

Movie was near perfect, but the following two scenes were just incredibly flat and dumb.

1. Tatum in Stage 4 messing with band during practice.
2. The coach putting his severed extremity in his mouth...after it somehow came out of his khakis.

Love the movie, those two scenes were just fails in my opinion and by the lack of audience laughter (that was sustained during the whole movie).

Although I did laugh at those bits, I agree they were the weak parts of the movie. In fact, they seemed more like improv than actual scripted moments.

The band practice scene was a little odd, you're right, but Tatum diving through the fucking gong had me dying. That bit alone saved that scene for me.

Totally agree about the gong.
