Sight & Sound | BFI 2012 Poll (Predictions)
Next year is the 60th anniversary of the esteemed British poll and I thought it would be interesting to discuss the possibilities for the 2012 incarnation.
For anyone interested in a bit of history about the poll, or you are not at all familiar, BFI has kept up their 2002 site with some great historical information. Found here: Link
I don't have a fully formed opinion on the entire poll but I do believe that The Godfather & The Godfather Part II will finally overtake Citizen Kane on the top line.
Happy discussing.

Maybe it could happen on the directors' poll, but the Godfather films are only 4th on the critics' poll. Are one of those two considered the "definitive" list?
BTW, I feel much better after seeing that Armond White was one of the critics who voted.

Why the change for The Godfather I and II? I think La Régle du jeu is far more deserving of the top spot than Coppola's films.
I'd also like to see The Passion of Joan of Arc move up as well.
