I sort of liked Chronicles of Riddick; it was like watching a story from a 70s issue of Heavy Metal magazine come to life.
At least it didn't suck ass like Battlefield Earth.

I thought Twohy wrote all the proposed films at the same time, then delivered them to Universal in leather-bound padlocked binders? Regardless, I liked Pitch Black and I thought Riddick was an improvement in scale and design. I really dug what they did with that whole universe and I'd like to see where they could take the characters. To say it is an ambitious film is an understatement. I know I'm in the minority here, but I really dug that film and I hope they can make the intended sequels with a reasonable budget.

They really could have been two separate movies with two different characters, but I enjoyed them both for what they were. I would probably check out some sequels.

Riddick 3
Wow, this came out of nowhere. I assumed the franchise was dead. Glad to see that Diesel and Twohy are getting back together for this one, these were two very good movies, IMHO. I think the scope of the second one tried to be a little too grand, but sounds like they're trying to find a nice happy medium.

Absolutely awesome! I have been waiting for this one! I love both Riddick films and thought the 2nd one was better than the first. I hope they continue off from the 2nd one.

I am a HUGE fan of both films. I'm not a Diesel hater at all, mostly because of this role. I will say that I think Riddick works better in a smaller environment so I hope it goes in that direction. I enjoyed a Chronicles, but I certainly understand the dislike for it. I just watched Pitch Black the other night & if anything it is still underrated. Its a very well made movie.

Yeah, fans should not get their hopes up yet. I've been hearing rumors about a sequel for a few years. DTV still seems like the only option they have.
I think Pitch Black was the better movie, but Chronicles had some enjoyable parts. As long as bad cgi prison cat, Judi, and Mrs. Vaako are not there, I'm in for the sequel.
BTW, Diesel has Facebook? Awesome! I'll Friend him!

"Chronicles of Riddick" wasn't a very good movie, but the design, costumes, sets, etc., were awesome.
It was like seeing 70s Heavy Metal Magazines come to life.
Certainly wouldn't object to more movies. There are worse franchises out there.
