Rare movies upcoming on tv?
I thought it would be cool to make a thread of rare movies not on dvd or rare hard to find movies upcoming on tv. Like for example sometimes TCM plays movies not on dvd or are hard to find on friday nights or they used to.

This is a good idea for a thread. It might have helped last night because Robert Altman's "The Delinquents" (1957) was on ThisTV last night (Wednesday). I only caught the last couple of minutes. I checked the upcoming schedule for the next week and didn't see it listed, but they tend to show things over a lot, so I think it will be on again. It has never been released on DVD in the US but is supposedly on Netflix streaming.
Edit: I see their website has a search feature. It's on again Wed. Aug 31st 10:00pm Eastern
The John Hurt/Richard Burton "1984" (OOP on DVD in US) was on right before that and will be on again Monday 8/15/11 at 2:30 Central time. It's cropped to full-screen though.
ThisTV is broadcast commercial TV and most of their movies are edited for nudity and language, but the old 50s and 60s movies are usually intact. I definitely recommend recording anything you want to watch so you can skip the ads. They have way too many commercials

I thought I had seen every 80s comedy (or at least heard of all of them). Never heard of this one though so I watched it this week. Far from recommended, but interesting to see a young Nina Siemaszko (her first movie) and Ted Levine in a bit part is a cop.
